    Epcot Masks

The masks are fun - my girls weren't particularly interested, though. They did get the passports and loved getting messages from the various workers at the stations. I noticed many children just using the masks for stamps and messages - I will do this in the future!! The girls do still love...

MK on a Monday still insane?

We followed the pattern of arriving on Sunday, etc. My girls HAD to go there first so we did. We were there the first week of May and arrived before opening. We did EVERYTHING we wanted to do and more with the longest lines being for Jungle Cruise and Splash. Wouldn't have waited for Splash...

    1/2 day at parks???

We only spent about half a day at AK, and didn't miss much, I don't think. We opened the park, of course, and did all major attractions except the rapids ride. Make sure you check times of ITTBAB and the Lion King show so you can work around them!! We spent most of a day at MGM and returned...

    Which Character Breakfast or Dinner?

We LOVE dining with Pooh and friends at Crystal Palace. We've only been there for lunch, but we enjoyed it so much. The kids followed the characters in a parade around the room, and each one spent time with my girls at our table. Also, we really love breakfast at CRT, but then I have girls...

Here's a good laugh for Monday morning

How funny! Even with reading up and planning, you just can't picture WDW until youre there! My MIL and SIL were planning their first ever trip to the World at the same time my family was planning our first with kids. They were going first, and it was so funny to try and talk to them about...

Can you remember your first time visiting the world?

Wow! I was about 10, and it was 1979, I think. Only MK open then, but EPCOT was in the works! I went with my mom, dad and 5-yr-old sister. What a magical feeling it was walking through the train tunnel and seeing Mickey's world! I remember we got on a horse drawn trolley first thing and I...

4.5 yo wants Cindy dress for CRT b/fast.

Oh, yes...let her wear her beautiful dress! My DD's were 7 and 9 on our first trip in May. Never even thought about bringing dresses. We enjoyed CRT breakfast very very much without them. However, my girls, even at their "advanced" ages were a little jealous of those cuties in their princess...

    Disney stuff from Santa

My best locations when I was planning a trip this year... Dollar Tree - Stop in now and then..as the previous poster said, they often have the neatest Disney stuff. last time I saw the CUTEST pooh and minnie little denim purses. Also got glow sticks there for the nightime shows, etc...

    Primeval Whirl?

This was actually my family's least favorite ride - we were all miserable and praying for it to be over. #1 - we all love spinning rides, #2 - all but one loves coasters. Something about this ride ate us up. I think for me it was the fact that the outer two seats are hanging over the edge of...

Sleeping Beauty aka Briar Rose aka Aurora

Caught her at CRT - girls loved her! She was quite chatty. The girls were upset about her blue dress...we think she's supposed to wear pink and Cinderella's supposed to be the only one in blue (besides Belle, of course!). Anyone know why she's in blue??

both water parks in one trip or would that be too much??

I think both parks would fit in nicely with a 10-day trip. We only had 5, so we went to TL. The girls can't wait to try BB and return to TL. It was one of our favorite days - Disney does a great job with water!

If you had to exclude 1 of the 4 Disney Parks which one and why?

Me too! We enjoy EPCOT, but it was last on my children's and husband's list with the exception of Test Trak!

    arrival day fun things?........

I don't have a long history...first trip since '92 in May. We rolled into town around 1p.m. Settled in, went swimming, got hairwraps for the girls. Then, we headed to DTD and ate at RFC. It's funny - we have a RFC less than 10 minutes from our home, but have only been there twice!! The...

    Water Parks

I know your six -y-o would love it for sure. My newly 7 DD had a ball and she was very adventurous there. She rode ALL slides and snorkled with the fish and sharks. It seems tamer than BB and it has alot of shade. If you arrive at opening you can snag an umbrella near the kiddie section or...

Why was the SkyRide taken out of Magic Kingdom?

I was entering Six Flags St. Louis when I was around 8 and got there just in time to see lightning hit , a car fall, one left dangling, and many, many people left in limbo. They closed the park and I watched on tv as a mother handed her infant to a rescue worker hanging from a helicopter ladder...

stuck in two rides in one day

Well...Indoor rides are usually open "boat" or "car" track rides. If the ride were to be stalled you would be in an open room with blaring music repeating over and over and over. You would have to stay in your vehicle of course, but all are open on sides and roof - does that help at all...

stuck in two rides in one day

I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience! My only hold-up was being next in line for Test Track when it had difficulties (I hear this is a frequent thing) and we waited about 25 minutes. My friend was on stuck on Splash for over an hour. She and her daughter missed fireworks and parade...

Where is the Best Character Breakfast??

I second the vote for Crystal Palace - we did lunch with Pooh and Friends and it was awesome! I know I personally signed up at 60 days when I made a few other arrangements...you may be able to book this one earlier. My favorite is Cinderella's Royal Table. It is so magical for little...

Would you let your 9 year old go unsupervised ?

NO WAY! I have a 9-y-o super responsible DD and I wouldn't let her out of my sight . Not now and not for quite a few years. I have just started letting her go to the restroom alone at very SMALL restaurants recently!! I would at least follow her to the entrance and watch her climb up/go...

When is the best age for Disney?

I'm going to chime in with my thoughts... I have a mom who always wanted to be there for the "firsts" of my girls, so she decided to take us all to MK for the day back when they were 15 mos and 3. It was hot, crowded, and we rode about five rides. Yes, the 3-y-o looked cute in her mouse ears...
