Single mom, gap in children's age
I have a 10 yr old and 6 yr old and many of the rides we all did together. There were just a few that I had to have my 10 yr old ride in front of me

Spring Break or Early June?
I go in June. It is really not bad if you get to the parks early. There are summer savings this year that offer pretty good discounts as well. You may be lucky to get them next year too!
