Boo to you! MNSSHP official thread 2013

We are going to be there on the 24th for our anniversary without the kids, do many adults get dressed up this early for the party?

    Why is DVC so confusing?

We just went through the same process. Did a DVC tour in November and then started reading and discovered resale. It is some work to find what you are looking for and then wait to get through the process. It is 60 days typically to get contract executed, but it might be 60 more days finding what...

Anyone use Fidelity to purchase resale? Pros? Cons?

Ok, did my offer on Apr 19 and still may not be done until mid next week. I think this is stating to influence my opinion I posted above. Whenever I call, I am thanked for reminding them to look for the emails we are expecting. This is starting to go from some customer service to no customer...

What is the best week to go in January?

My family went the last week of Jan one year, and the day weather was good, but a few evenings were cool. Otherwise the crowd levels were low at here and Universal. Many rides we were able to get right on. Being as I don't like a lot of heat, mid to late Jan is one of my favorite times to go.

silly question on direct vs resale

I am in the middle of a resale purchase. Most closing costs seem between 425-500. A few of the timeshare agencies have up to $400 in admin fees, so watch for them and ask specific questions, they wont always mention it. Closing costs are pretty set, so the fewer the points you buy, the more it...

Owner accepted our offer now the real wait begins- updated

We had an offer in Apr 19, and expect it to be next Wednesday before our contract is to us. Definitely need patience when dealing with fidelity. They keep forgetting to check their email for information we are waiting on. We did a OKW with load 2012 and 2013 points for $56.

Anyone use Fidelity to purchase resale? Pros? Cons?

I just had an offer accepted from Fidelity. Good selection, my agent was very co-operative on what offer to make and what is fair market value. My only complaint is they are so busy, you have to keep on top off them. 80% of the communication on status starts with me. But they are never bothered...

About to be a new owner

Wanted to say hi to all members on the board and thanks for all the time you spend posting great information. Working on trying to get a good deal on a resale to start, and maybe a second one next year. Looking forward to contributing to the community and maybe meeting some of you at the DVC...

DECISION TIME! Why I'm prob going to pass on buying into DVC

Good-day community. Just joined and thought I would weigh in a few thoughts. I am in the process of putting some offers on some resales and jump into this ownership thing called DVC. My spouse and I looked at this for years, but feel now is a financially safe time for us to do it, even though...
