    The 'Planning Backlash'

In mid-July they moved park hours and EMH around for August and September, and that was far to late to move some dining, and even too late to move a few FP+. My thought is, if Disney absolutely must require the guests to move like clockwork in the vacation machine - work with us a little...

Change of pace, instead of what they took away, what additions do you like best

There is so much to miss. But it is great just walking around the new Fantasyland, especially at night crossing the bridge to Be Our Guest. The feeling this area is "done" is sort of a relief. Anticipating the changes to the other parks soon is exciting. First thing we're going to...

    Newbie advice

Spend at least one day at EPCOT, you don't have to ride all the rides. The best part of EPCOT is walking around the World Showcase. There's shops and restaurants galore. And if you want rides the front of park has several. Spaceship Earth is a must, and get a fastpass for Soarin' night...

    critique my DHS plan

Leave 15 mins for strolling down Streets of America, and don't miss Muppets, is my advice. These are in a section of the park that is bound for some changes, soon.

Be aware! Busses at Hollywood Studios!

That's frustrating and I've been there too. And I've done the Downtown Disney double hop trick also. If you know which resorts are close to it, and if DTD itself is not too backed up (Traffic around that is extra crazy these days), you can swing that. Wish they kept the park to DTD bus...

    footwear

I think it's a great idea to wear shoes. Having a stroller or scooter run over your feet without shoes? Well, just OUCH!

So...does anyone recommend park hoppers anymore?

October is a case in point when you have lots of opportunity to take advantage of park hopping. Especially for two reasons - Food and Wine, and the Halloween Party nights. You can hop into Food and Wine just for lunch or dinner, spend the rest of the day elsewhere. Food and Wine is great...

Next "Seven Resorts in Seven Days" Series?

I agree whole heartedly with this- there are some real gems off property! Dearly love on-property don't get me wrong, being in that bubble is next to priceless. However, last minute extension of a week, off-property is a real option and it's amazing the variety of options (full kitchens and...

Plural of FP+... what do you like?

Pluses ends with -es so really it should be FPes. :upsidedow #nevergonnacatchon

    Phone Charging Lockers?

The Cosmic Ray chargers very handy, phone charged about 25% while eating which kept it going past 1am. But, yes there's really not enough of them, I think there were about 20 chargers. 20 chargers, in the largest restaurant in the park. :confused3

Has Anna and Elsa split had a positive effect on wait times?

Yes this was done to keep the line moving. One party can visit Anna for a couple of minutes, then move on to Elsa for a couple of minutes. Either way you're getting about 4 minutes with the pair of them combined. However by sequencing them, they can move twice as many people through. It's...

Anyone not get memory maker and regret it?

Digital camera. For the same $199 you can get a pretty decent one. Make your own memories, before during and after your vacation is over. They last a few years before they're totally obsolete. Just point and shoot! :)

Spend $4bn on Walt Disney World, What Would You Do?

Pay off MM+ fiasco. There should be about $15,000 left after all that, so buy a shiny new popcorn cart and put some benches here and there. Never seem to be enough benches when my feet hurt...

    MNSSHP costume question

They do not allow you to walk in with anything that looks like a weapon. Which seems sort of odd, because they sell toy guns and swords inside the park (at POTC exit gift shop)!

How do Magic Bands work if your onsite stay is your last day

Also note you cannot use MB to pay for things before or after the days of your on-site resort stay. Charging is activated after check-in, and it shuts off at night on the day you check out. But of course you can still use it as a ticket for park entry, just as the other posters said. And I've...

Frozen is coming and we are choosing not to go! Who else is with me!?

Each time the Star Wars Weekend fireworks were on (Friday to Sunday), TSMM closed early. So plan accordingly.

Stitch's Great Escape is FUN!! (post if you agree)

Personally I think the hate comes from Stitch TP-ing the castle on the attraction's opening day. And then he had the audacity to hang up a banner that said Stitch Kingdom! :furious: Vandalism should not be tolerated at the Magic Kingdom. Naughty Stitch...

    Here now! Just checked in!!

THIS - one of the few great things about MB, you can get to dinner reservations a little faster at the resorts which are sometimes difficult to park without playing 20 questions and taking a lie detector test (Contemporary, Poly, Boardwalk, Beach Club). Still got the 3rd degree at Grand Flo but...
