I booked in late January or early February for mid March last year. I was able to book the luau. I did not get a character meal, but we were able to put our name on the waiting list (Day of) and still got in. Summer is obviously probably busier, but I think it’ll still work out.

I can’t figure out how to flip it back, but this is both girls. We went over Thanksgiving and the line was about 30 mins.

Sunday am from Universal to Disneyland has the best traffic of any time. 45 mins or less. There are always exceptions of course, but i’ve found that even as late as 9-10am, traffic is still pretty good. I live here and visit DLR mainly on Sundays.

If you’re not going to be super late at Disney on your last day there, I might suggest driving to Universal that night. I live close to Universal and on a weekday, the morning drive to DL is horrible in both directions, but after 7/8 at night it isn’t bad at all!

Grand Legacy is MUCH nicer. I have stayed at both, and while the Del Sol is fine, I’d prefer to stay at the Grand Legacy. Don’t worry about breakfast not being included there. The Del Sol breakfast is only a barely adequate continental.

I think if you do a movie tour and the Jeep tour, you’ll be getting repeats. The Jeep tour doesn’t do a ton of movie sites, but it does some. We took the Jeep tour in March with our 8 and 4 year olds. They loved it!
