    Napping and room checks

I remember reading your original post on this. As I recall she woke up to him staring at her. Why didn’t he leave the minute he saw a sleeping guest? I’m glad she yelled at him! Maybe he’ll think twice before staring at a sleeping guest. Hopefully Disney rethinks this policy.

    Napping and room checks

Good for your daughter!!! The room checks are the worst security theater policy Disney has come up with. With reports of being able to tell them to come back later, phone calls from house keeping to schedule a time to do the check, what is it doing? Nothing except disturbing guests. They’re just...

An open letter to Disney about mandatory room checks.

For me, the frustrating part is the room check does nothing. It would be more tolerable if the policy actually was going to prevent something. Glancing around a room does nothing but interrupt the no threat vacationer. When I first heard about the policy, I thought it would be used for...

    First Timers at the Poly

We've stayed at the Poly twice. First time we toured the parks so much that we didn't take in as much at the resort. Last year we had way more down time and really enjoyed relaxing at the resort. Best vacation ever. Only thing I wish was that the Oasis pool was adult only. Understandably never...

An open letter to Disney about mandatory room checks.

I think the policy is just security theater. They are just glancing. What does that do? In addition, I believe it puts guests in an uneasy position while on vacation. I don't want to be disturbed while showering, changing, or napping. I especially don't want my daughter, who's old enough to go...

Should I pay for my college student?

You, as a parent, don't "owe" a vacation to your kid at any age. Do what you feel is best for you and your family. I paid for our two kids to go at 27 and 21. I wanted to. Going forward who knows.

OK To Use Deodorant On Pre-Pubescent Kids?

My daughter had armpit order at age 6. It wasn't due to poor hygiene. Found out if you, after bathing, apply rubbing alcohol on the area, smell goes away. No deodorant needed. After 2 or 3 days, no need to apply the rubbing alcohol. Smell stayed away. It also works for foot odor.

Extra occupancy price increase and Minnie Van = resort parking no longer a perk?

Each person has a last straw or breaking point as a consumer. For me, this would be it. For others it isn't. No right or wrong reaction. I'll still go to the parks, but off property after this trip.

Served alcohol at the parks without being asked for ID

I love when I get carded! In some stores, there will be a sign saying we card anyone who looks 40 or under. Even though I'm older than 40, I'm slightly offended when they don't card me...lol.

Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Information & Questions

I hoping since we booked before the fees (if it does happen) that we would not be charged.

Extra occupancy price increase and Minnie Van = resort parking no longer a perk?

I hope they do not charge for parking for guests staying at the resort. I've always assumed it's been included in the overpriced rooms along with "resort fees" that other hotels charge. I love the Poly, but for me, off site is looking better. Omni charges for parking and a resort fee...

    Dessert Party Payment

When I booked the dessert party, I was required to pay for it at that time. $119.24 for 4 adults.

    Low Carb at Disney?

I am currently on the Virgin diet, however, for our Disney trip I am going off of it. If your husband needs to be low carb for medical reasons, then of course, needs to stay on it. Low carb is easy enough to do anywhere really and at Disney...they try to help out with diet requests better than...

I did the on-line check in today and the only requests it let me enter was near skyway bridge and/or lower floor. I am guessing I will need to call in to request anything else.:confused3

Can anyone help with Clearwater Beach questions?

It will be very crowded. Clearwater Beach is a pretty crowded beach normally and July 4th will be crazy. But sometimes, crazy is fun!
