If you look at Fairfield Inn's website, you'll see they are in the middle of refurbishing the rooms. They look very nice. We chose them over Courtyard because of price ($600 total cheaper).

Ok I found where they said on Disney Parks Blog, "Guests staying in the hotels on Harbor Boulevard will be able to access the Resort without going through the Eastern Gateway." Hopefully this holds true!

I can't imagine they'll completely close that entrance during construction of the bridge & move of the monorail leaving everyone having to enter through Downtown Disney. Surely they'll have an alternate route or detour for the east side.

I wish we'd gone to WDW instead but I don't regret it. If you're concerned about the crowds and you think it might be an issue for you, then you should rethink when you're going to go. We've never been to WDW when it's that crowded and we won't ever go to either DL or WDW when it's crowded...

We just go back and the crowds were crazy! It was much worse than we expected. I'd say if you are concerned about the crowds, don't go lol.

So what helped you deal with the crowds?

It's predicted to be 80 degrees this Saturday but with a low of 49. I don't mind having to change clothes if it means I can wear shorts & sandals in the winter. It will only get to 36 degrees that day where I'm from with a low of 20, so it will feel amazing. I love to travel to warmer climates...

I'm having a hard time figuring out what to pack & wear. I'm planning to rent a locker for change of clothes & shoes or plan to change during our afternoon rest.
