    Genie+ has GOT TO GO!

Well comparing Universal and Disneyland attendance and searching it from google. 2021 Universal attendance was 5.5 million 2021 DCA was 4.9 million 2021 Disneyland attendance was 8.5 million so I think the comps from Disneyland and universal can be a little skewed. 3 million extra visitors...

    It's a small world - flooding

The cm I spoke with on thanksgiving night at the ride mentioned that they were waiting for parts from Arizona and Switzerland... fwiw. Hope they can bandaid it till next year as it was a bummer to not go inside on the holiday small world ride.

    X-mas at Disneyland

For us, the Sunday and Monday after Thanksgiving was perfect. People are heading back home from visiting Disneyland during Thanksgiving week or seeing family, while kids are going back to school. Again that was precovid, so who knows really how everything will shake out. Either way, just...

Disneyland packages? What are your thoughts?

We did a package this past May for tickets and hotel. We did it so we could cancel 30 days before the trip without penalty. Anyways we went and it was great. We got some free lanyards and was also given some discounts at restaurants outside in downtown Disney. We used it at Earl of Sandwich.

Would you go "low end" Grand Californian or "premium" DLH?

I'd pick Grand no matter the case as long as money is not an object. Just love the ambiance and architecture. The convenience in regards to DCA is great, especially when returning to the hotel from there. OTOH, it's just a few more minutes of walking to dlh and rooms have been recently...

    Luggage transfers?

Morning! We've done it with PP and GC pre Covid. Just dropped the luggage off at the bell desk in the morning and the luggage was in our rooms when it was ready. So easy just like at DW I would call the bell desk/guest services at dlh to verify. Have a great time!

Grand Californian - What am I missing?

We love staying at GC! That is our preferred hotel on site (who wouldn't want it) but sometimes price does factor into which hotel we select. Like above posters have mentioned... there are many pros and cons to each hotel, depending on location, convenience, comfort and price. Everyone is...

Kids tickets instead of adult tickets problem

Hello, I had a different but similar issue in regards to age. When I purchased the package to stay at gch and tickets in May, my reservation stated the correct ages, kids being 14 and 12. Yet when we received our theme park reservation qsr code it displayed the kids ages as 3-9 for both of...

Foods not to eat at DL

OK, I'll chime in too! Turkey Leg - too salty and a lot of work to get the meat... Churro flavor assortment... Just like sticking to the original. It's a hit or miss... but never can complain about the original. Corn dog... well for me it's similar to the monte Cristo.. the batter can be...

    Thanksgiving week

Normally Thanksgiving week is really, really busy.... especially leading up to Thanksgiving, including the following Friday and Saturday. The mornings are usually the best times we experienced as locals tend to come in after brunch/lunch time to fill up the park. Then again with Covid, this...

Do we need a flashlight in the parks or hotel rooms....?

Yeah your phone light or a mini mag light comes in handy no matter where you travel. IF you use the mag light, just leave it in your toiletry bag as they're pretty compact and bright at the same time. In regards to staying at TDR, Mira Costa, and Sheraton. We didn't feel like the rooms were...

Advice: Disney World Family’s 1st to Disneyland:)

You could also do a split stay, as long as you're staying among Paradise Pier, DL hotel, and Grand Calfornia. It could be tiring to move around. If you wanted to do it, I would recommend staying at GC last. Also, drop the luggage off at the bell desk before you leave for the park early in the...

Pearl Harbor Tour and Dole Plantation

Hi! Pcc is a long drive from Aulani. If you google map it, it would take 1 hour and 12 minutes to get there without traffic. If you go in the morning, let's say 7am on a weekday, it will range from that to 1 hour and 50 minutes due to traffic. Traffic going to Waikiki from Aulani can be bad...
