    What should we do?

Thank you so much! So yeah, without knowing if there is anything happening around april 10th, I'd choose that week. But if there is something happening then, it won't be as bad as dapper day. If you didn't see our trip report from the last one, they closed the park for a while it was so...

Going to DL today, and dreading it.

Crowds will be there. For sure. Set the expectation and understanding early that you will have trouble at some point so that when the time comes, you can be patient. Don't get angry or frustrated with the crowds. Most everyone is doing the best they can. Patience is THE most important...

2 weeks at Disneyland. Will we get bored?

How bored you get depends on the individual. But you may get tired and burned out a little. Pace yourself. Don't focus on rides. Don't ever be in a hurry to do anything. Be in the experience. Stop. Sit. Watch. Believe in magic.

    24 hour Party

I have a feeling the situation will different for future all-niters, if they have them again at all, based on the mess that was last year. That was a disaster IMO. A hard ticket is quite possible.

    PTN viewing question

I too recommend finding a place near the Small World Mall and/or just past the matterhorn. It's also an easy trip up to Small World for a very nice view of the fireworks right after.

    What should we do?

There are no slow days at the parks anymore, but I can tell you from experience that there is bad, and then there's Dapper Days bad. If it isn't a huge hassle, and the alternatives do not appear to be any worse, you might try switching dates.

    Cutters and how to deal?

This may be unpopular, but I prefer to maintain my calm and just let them cut, so long as it's not completely overt and mean. I don't have a problem, for example, of letting people join groups in line, and am generally ok with people inching forward in line ahead of me in those group type...

    Single Rider Lines

You won't ever get paired with your friend in the strict sense. Single rider, by definition, means one seat. Matterhorn, for example, has sleds with 3 people per sled. You will fill the third seat if it's empty, and only the third seat. They will never put you and another single in a sled...

Self-reflection (more than an actual question) - July visit???

I understand your concerns about the park, and it is busy, and crowded, and expensive. But if your heart is at Disneyland, you should go. The best advice I can give to someone struggling with Disneyland anxiety is to let Disneyland happen to you. Don't enforce your will on the park. I find...

Peter Pan Story Time in Innoventions?

I do believe that might have been our video you found :) I don't think Disney advertises it on the Innovnetions page at their site. The best advice, as noted here, is to simply head to the room and take a seat. Eventually a cast member will sit down and start the story. There are no set...

Is the Golden Horseshoe what it once was?

The Horseshoe itself is still as wonderful as ever. Same great interiors, same food (I think). But the show has changed. They do a comedy bit that isn't that great IMO, at least not for the Horseshoe stage. No more Billy Hill though.

Better time to go? - week before or after Thanksgiving?

If by "after" you mean February, I'd say that. But the reality is, it gets busier and busier as you get closer to new years eve.

Which is worse - Saturday or Sunday?

I don't go much during the evenings, but my I can say that I hardly ever notice any difference on visits during the day. They're about the same to me.

Your favorite thing at DL/DCA that most people don't know about?

Yes, front row requests are common for Screamin, so they have a separate queue for those. I've been there at times where there can be 10 people waiting for the front seat while half of the rest of the car is empty.

Disneyland closing at 11pm on Saturday March 15th. Why?

My understanding is that we'll see more of this in the future. Disney is trimming hours here and there due to the success of DCA. They're not as compelled I guess to maximize park hour I guess.

Your favorite thing at DL/DCA that most people don't know about?

Mickey and a bunch of other friends, plus Hatter and Alice performing with Disneyland band out in front of the castle. Happens I think only on the weekends and only once a day. Great show.
