Tree Limin St. Thomas- time for beach?

I don't know anything about that excursion, but I grew up with an aunt, uncle, and cousins in St, Thomas. If you love beaches and have never been, you want to hit Magen's Bay.

A CRUISE? Cheapest way to "DO" Disney?

Bottom line - yes, you can have a great princess experience on the cruise. Go for whatever's cheaper. Use a Disney travel agent and you will get onboard credit for both rooms you'll have to book. Costco gives the biggest onboard credits. If its cheaper to stay offsite at WDW, do that. Don't be...

    Best Toddler Tips!

There is a dance party every night after first seating. My daughter absolutely loved it!

    what age for first cruise?

We did a five yo and 15 mo in May. Under three is much cheaper. She didn't get the full experience, but still had a great time. I did get the full experience. DCL made life easy at every turn and made having a baby feel like a breeze. Plus, we sent her to babysitting in her pjs at dinner. They...

    What is the Alice tea?

Yes, pick up tickets at guest services as soon as you board. Depending on the length of your cruise, you shouldn't have a problem - the longer the cruise, the more Teas they offer.

    Crusing with a 15month old

Took our 15mo in may - wonderful. There were plenty of city elite strollers and wagons available at CC. The ships also have a few peg perego jogging strollers inboard, but unless you are boarding with concierge, guest services will be out of them by the time you board. The number of nursery...

    Just ran Castaway Cay 5K!

Yes, there are tons of free city elite strollers for use on CC (many right by the starting line) perfect for running (as well as pushing kids across sand to the beach; wagons, too, btw). My experience did not take a good chunk of the day. I signed up in board, got my bib, went back to my room...

    Cruising with baby

Under three is even less than the cost of older children. My baby was about half the price of my 5yo this past May. Probably because they eat less and can't use the kids clubs. I think babysitting was $8/hour, but I could be mistaken. We did all our babysitting over dinner, which was...

    Baby Jogger on Wonder

An umbrella stroller is perfect onboard and fits thru doorways and is easily stored in the bathroom if you are too lazy (like me) to fold it every time. Castaway cay has city elites for use there; plenty to go round and free. Do NOT plan on getting a jogging stroller from guest services if you...

Anyone solved the shoe organizer problem?

Totally solved it in May on the Magic. Got a shoe organizer with eyes at top to attach the hooks. I never attached the hooks. I tried to thread shoelace I brought for this purpose through the holes (like in the shape of an upside down V to hang on the hook from the inside of the bathroom...

Cruising with a 1 year old.....

First of all, do not rely on the DCL strollers. I was on board by noon and guest services told me they had all been borrowed. He also looked at me like I was crazy to expect anything else. Besides, you'll need an umbrella stroller for the airport anyway. They do have plenty awesome strollers...

    Pregnancy on DCL

Just bring the doctor's note; the airlines may have a similar policy. I've flown even in my 8th month (with a doctors note) and never had any airline employee ever have the guts to ask me how pregnant I was. If you are within DCL's policy and have the doctors note to prove it, no worries.

    Cranberry juice?

Crystal light is now offering liquid mix in drink favors, like margarita and pomegranate martini. I plant o bring me with my own liquor on board next week.

So - whats a (disney) cruise like?

I've been to WDW with DS when he was 3. He's 5 now and I thought it was time to return. But not we have a 1 year old DD and the cruise seemed like a perfect compromise for all the reasons stated above. 9 days and counting!

Mickey Ears hat delivered to stateroom?

I got our ears at the Disney store online on sale recently. I plan to bring the on board and save a few bucks. But the Shirley stuff does look cute, although not cheap.

Baby food pouches? Can i pack them?

Checked is fine with TSA. A reasonable amount in carryon is also permissible, although I have had TSA ask me to open jars (never pouches; don't know why) to test it. That only happened maybe twice despite flying frequently. Hasn't happened in a few years though. In my experience, the busier...
