    Character meet and greet ariel

She is never in her tail at Ariel's Grotto and she never walks around and visits the tables with the other princesses. She is always in her place at the bottom of the staircase wearing the seafoam colored dress for a meet and greet and picture before you are taken to your table.

free or pay for 3 yo's character meal on her birthday?

Just as a funny note on this topic, my DD is 3 (actually 4 in September) but she is very small. When we were in DLR this past March, I told the CM at Surf's Up that she was 3, but they still didn't charge me for her....guess in his opinion she couldn't possibly be 3 even though I said she was...

    3 year olds first trip

My kids went for the first time in March and my DD was/is 3. She is a big princess fan, so the Fantasy Faire was a must and she loved it along with lunch at Ariel's Grotto. She also loved POTC of all things, which her older brother refused to ride, and she loved Mater's Tractors, the Chew-Chew...

Rides/attractions that you just don't "get"

but if you can control your tire, and most other people can't and are all bunched up in a corner, you have almost the whole area to really FLY that tire and then it is so, so, SO much fun. Everyone always talks bad about Luigi's, but my 6-year-old and I were rockin our tire so hard this past...

Trying to decide between Surf's Up and Minnie & Friends

From what I understand, the character meal at Plaza Inn with Minnie & Friends is breakfast only. After breakfast, the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner without any characters. If you go at breakfast, you must pay for the character meal, as that is the only breakfast that is offered...

Trying to decide between Surf's Up and Minnie & Friends

We have done both, and honestly they are both wonderful in their own ways. Yes Mickey doesn't come to the table at Surf's up, but did you know if there are no families in line to have their picture with him and there is no dancing, if he's there your kids can go back and hang out with him more...

    Double Digits and Swing Dancing

Is it the DTD swing dancing? I have a friend who lives pretty close by to Anaheim and she goes swing dancing outside at DTD quite a bit.

    Anaheim Plaza to Surf's Up

hmmm...we stayed at Anaheim Plaza in March and had breakfast at Surf's Up, but we drove to PPH because it was our last day and we weren't going to the parks that day. I would assume the quickest way is to walk to the park entrances, through to DTD, go through the GCH and cross the street to...

    Food allergies

I would keep trying, because that is a harder FA to deal with, but my DD has life-threatening egg and peanut allergies, and we have found Disneyland to be the very best place we have ever visited in terms of accommodating food allergies. Every character/sit-down meal we had, the chef came right...

    Sunscreen for scalp?

I wanted to murder my husband when we moved here to Vegas (his idea, his mom lives here). I was under the mistaken impression that even if it was hot during the day, it would cool off at night, and the mornings would be cool. NOPE!!! The winters are nice, but sometimes it gets a little too...

    Sunscreen for scalp?

You should double check, but most are marked SPF 15 or above. The minerals are a natural sunblock I guess. And no, it doesn't make my hair look dusty, but I'm brunette. Not sure how it would go on blondes, but the very lightest shade should work okay, or the colorless one that another poster...

    Sunscreen for scalp?

If you happen to already have or use a powder mineral makeup, like Bare Escentuals or similar, it's really easy to dust some of that into your part. It has worked well for me. You can get some cheaper powder mineral makeups at the drugstore now too, i am sure Revlon or L'Oreal has one.

If you can't do EMH, forget wide right?

NO--you can still do it and it will still help. Our DCA day on our recent March trip, there were EMH which we did not have, we were still inside the park before rope drop for regular hours, did wide right and DS and I probably waited 20 minutes for RSR. The wait was not bad at all. We also...

    Character Dining with Photopass+

the same thing happened to me, actually. When they came around with the picture package, I just told him that I have PP+ but hadn't time to activate it yet, so he said no problem the package will be waiting for you at the camera shop when you activate your PP+ and get the lanyard, and it was.

    Character Dining with Photopass+

Yes, they do and so it is SO worth it if you do character meals! We did Minnie & Friends, Ariel's Grotto, and Surf's Up, and each time they just brought the photos in the folder bagged up to the table. And they were all on our digital PP account too. The PP+ is so amazing!

    Breakfast times?

as far as I know, the first seating is 10 minutes after the park opens to anyone, whether that be for early entry or not. If there is early entry in the park that day, the first available seating at either will be 10 minutes later (i.e., if the park opens to the general public at 9 am but there...

    In park Princess dresses?

I think the only dress that is prettier in the parks version vs. Disney Store is the Ariel dress.

    Which Character Meal?!?

You can't go wrong with Minnie & Friends or Mickey's Surf's Up. My kids really loved the dancing interaction with the characters at Surf's Up, and the food is definitely better than M&F. When we went, Mickey was there of course as he is the host, and Pluto, Minnie, Daisy, and Stitch were also...

    Cell phone vent!

LOL, well I use mine to take all my pictures while there, and then it only takes 2 seconds with my iphone to select a group of pictures and upload them to facebook. I did this while standing in lines. It takes literally less than a minute. But other than that, unless I'm texting my DEAR hubby...
