    When to go?

we went last August and it really wasn't that hot. It was of course warm but where we live year old is also fairly hot in summer so they seemed to be used to it and the complaining wasn't that bad. We've been at Christmas time which is beautiful but yes very busy. Unfortunately it's also very...

    Disney problems

if ds really doesnt want to go then I would try leaving him with a family member or close friends. I'm sure he'll be fine there for 4 days at that age. Have just a fun trip with dd and let her enjoy herself despite ds not going! good luck :)

Would you leave a 1 yr old at home?

definitely bring the baby! wouldnt be a family vacation without everyone :) there's still lots of shows the baby can go in with yall and some small rides that they let you hold babies on. Its not like she will be a newborn at almost one I think itll be fine and worth it! have fun! xo

Your Favorite Way to Make Your Stroller Easy to Recognize?

We get balloons right when we walk into magic kingdom and that makes it easy to spot. and we do put glow sticks on them at night as well. have a good trip! xo

    New Carseats

We are going to Disney in September and since we have a 10 hour car trip we need good car seats. My 6 year old twins are ready for "big kid ones" and I think they are old enough to get out of our Graco Nautilus. They are both just above 40 pounds. Do you think they would be okay with a backless...

    Need surprise ideas in car?

I never thought of putting hints in their car seats! that's smart! :) but a few times ago we pulled in to the hotel and told them we were lost and looking for the directions to grammas house and they believed it till the person checking in asked for our reservation info! wasn't that exciting but...

    Highchairs?

All restaurants we have been to have had plenty on hand except for maybe a crowded counter service place but then they usually eat in their stroller. Sit down places will definitely always have them its not worth carrying around your portable one.

    tell me about Oct.! :)

We went in October a few years ago and it was a really nice temperature. In the 70s and didn't rain more than a couple short showers. Crowds were tolerable and definitely less than summer or spring break time. have a great trip! :)

Can I let our tweens explore alone?

We let ours off alone once they are 13 I think that's a good age so yours should be fine. This last trip we even let our 9 year olds go off with our 14 year olds and they seemed to be fine and know their way around pretty well. We usually all come in together and do a few rides or shows as a...

Ideas for something special for daughters' birthday

Norway should bring out birthday cupcakes at the end for the girls birthdays. Almost all sit down places do as long as they have their birthday pins on then the waiters will know! :) have an amazing trip xo

WDW and universal in same trip?

Universal is really fun and we always have a blast there. If you are only going to Adventure Island then just one day will be fine. We did both in one day and it was a LONG day and we were sore by the end but still had fun. You're kids wont be able to go on the big rides but there's still lots...

    Car trip entertainment?

We have a 10 hour drive and I can't imagine not using electronics. Especially DVD players! But some other things we have used are getting them each a new Disney toy before we go which usually keeps them entertained for awhile and my little girls always like to play barbies. Also, even though...

    Post-Cruise WDW- Need help!

good call on booking the Disney Resort. Definitely worth the extra magic hours and the whole Disney vibe. I would recommend going to Magic Kingdom one day and getting early to see the rope drop. It's really exciting for little kids and then you can leave in afternoon for a rest and swim at the...

    Changing Stations?

We've been lots of times with babies and the changing tables are stable counters and a good size. They have the same ones in the mens room, my husband has told me, so he often takes the babies in there because they are MUCH less crowded. Have a fun trip! xo

    Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Question

My 9 year old girls refused to do it when we were there a couple months ago. My littler girls love it but the older ones stopped around 8 years old.. Most likely she will be embarrassed when she only sees a bunch of little girls who got it done and no older ones. But if she really wants it and...

    Surprise trip for sons!

Last time we did a scavenger hunt and all the kids loved it. They had no idea what was coming and when the last clue led them to the cleaning closet balloons pilled out and there was a sign that said WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY TOMORROW! They were ecstatic :) Have fun!

Disney first timer family of 4

yes may is a great time to go! Most schools are back in session from spring break but aren't out for summer break yet. That's a good dining plan choice! we use it every time. Were you thinking of getting a stroller? Its highly recommended even for the five year old, the kids get really tired and...

    So stressed!

I would still go if him and the kid really want to go! You can always rent a wheelchair if he REALLY ends up needing it but with a kid youll probably be taking it slow anyways. Good luck and have fun :)

    Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique

My little girls all love it! We have had great experiences and they always talk about it for months after. I wouldn't buy the dress there because they are pretty expensive. Get one on sale at disney.com or etsy. Maybe even a Halloween store? But i would defiantly recommend it if she loves...

    Stroller for 5yo?

I would bring the double stroller. You'll be able to stay in the parks later at night and have longer days because they wont be as tired. The double city mini works great in the parks and we bring it every time we go. The 6 year old technically would be able to walk but you'll have to deal with...
