What do you do when all the planning is done?

I have this same problem but I keep second guessing all of the plans! I’m 30 days out and made changes to our plans as recently as 4 days ago. :rolleyes1 But my kids don’t know about the trip yet so a countdown with them is out of the question! This time period is when I spend the most time on...

    Child with custom orthotics

I got him some like this this morning actually just to have sandals for short amounts of time in the summer. We’ll try his orthotics in them and see if it works! Thanks!!

    Fast pass-Park hopping strategy

On days I know I'll be hopping, I like to get to the first park early and knock out the big attractions before the crowds get too bad and use my FP+ for the other park in the afternoon. We've done this a few times with great success!

When to go to Ohana or if to go?

We ate here on a non-park day. I agree with above poster and don't love to leave the parks for an ADR (though we do have those plans on our upcoming trip). We had a late breakfast and it was nice to take the boat from MK, then we rode the monorail around for a bit and the kids loved that...

    Child with custom orthotics

Hiking shoes are a great idea! They hike a lot in the summer anyway, but he had outgrown his from last year. We'll get him a new pair of those! Thanks for the suggestions!

    Child with custom orthotics

Hi all- I wasn't really sure where to ask this question, but maybe someone here has some advice. My 9 year old son has started wearing custom orthotics since our last trip to the World. I know they can't get wet, but I'm at a loss on how to handle these in the park. For water rides we can...

    Honest opinion of ohana

We had breakfast there last August and waited for over 30 minutes past our ADR time. Then the restaurant was half empty so no clue why the hold up. Service was slow (and rushed when they were at the table) and food was not hot and mediocre at best even considering we ate basically these same...

    Getting to know you

Hi all! I'm a single mom to two boys- 11 (nearly 12) and 9 and an 8 year old daughter. We went to Disney last summer and their dad went with us. At that point we had been divorced over 2 1/2 years. I'm taking the kids back solo in June on what will likely be our last trip to the World for a...

Christmas gift then surprise with the date?

I have booked a trip for my three children for early March (we just went in August, it was my daughter's first trip and my boys' second). I've talked a lot in the last few days about going back early next year, but I haven't told them that it's planned! My dilemma is I want this to be a...

    A Non-Character Non-Park Breakfast

    I agree with Boma!

    Departure Day

How do the logistics work though for swimming? We have to be checked out of our room, but then we'll need to shower and change before we leave. Do you just put wet swimsuits in your suitcases? And we're staying at AS-Sp, so there's not a ton to do at our resort. Could we kill some time at AKL...

    Departure Day

What do you do with your departure day and a late flight? We have a breakfast at 10 (so we can sleep in a little) at Boma, but our flight isn't until 5 (so leaving on ME at 2). This gives us a few hours to kill. What would you do? Something low key (free is always good!) and kid friendly...

Best shoes to wear in the rain?

I have a pair of Teva sandals (I think these http://a.co/5HA6vDp ) and this will be my 6th summer in them and 4th time in the parks. I live in them every summer and even wear them on some hikes. They dry quickly and are so comfortable.

    Park hopping with kids

I guess I was thinking I didn't want to lose too much park time. For instance, our day I have planned at HS, we have a PPO ADR, but I was thinking since there aren't many great places to eat there, we will take a "break" and take the boat to Epcot and eat there, then come back for the night time...

    Park hopping with kids

The last time we went with our boys we just did one park per day, but since we have FD this time we also have park hoppers. I'm wondering what the logistics are like park hopping with 3 kids (ages between 7-11). What are your thoughts? What does park hopping look like for your family?

    Last Night Meal in MK

Actually, BOG would be nice (I hadn't looked at the dinner menu, but it will definitely work!), but we already have breakfast scheduled there that morning! So now I need to move around all the reservations and as we're only about 90 days out I need to hope and pray I can get an ADR for that...

    Last Night Meal in MK

I had booked Chef Mickey's and thought it would be fun to leave and go over then watch the fireworks from a distance with a good view. (yes, I know the viewing limitations from here) but now I think we may want to stay in the park. However, I don't remember any of the TS just jumping out at me...

******Official 2017 Free Dining Plan Watch, Wait, and Dream

I was so sad when the dates were announced though I was prepared for this to be the case. We are leaving Aug 20, but I am a Disney debit holder. So I called to see if that counts as a Disney Visa AND IT DOES! So we got FD for our stay Aug 13-20 (we have a room Aug 12 booked at CBR) at AS-S...

    Pre-Park Opening H&V- Jedi Training

Same. I have read that you are now able to sign up for Jedi training before park opening now, but have not tried myself.

    Ohana breakfast w/o ADR?

I made an ADR for later than I'm sure we'll be. Worst case scenario we're up earlier than I imagine and the kids have a snack to tide them over until we go to breakfast! Thanks all!
