    Miami port questions

My family and I are taking our 2nd Disney cruise next week out of Miami. Our 1sr cruise was out of Port Canaveral. Can anyone explain how porting out of Miami is different?? My kids are a little nervous about Miami port. We can still take Disney shuttle to port from airport? Thank you in advance!

    Nassau

We cruised this past January on the Magic and we got off at Nassau - our boys were 10 and 13. We did a harbor tour, ate at Hard rock Cafe, shopped a bit and went back to the ship. My boys did NOT like Nassau. They got a bit spooked with the locals hounding us for tours, hair braiding, buying...

Has anyone stayed at the ORL airport hotel & taken DIS transportation to port?

We used it the past January as first time cruisers and LOVED it. It was very stress-free. Our flight was delayed and didn't land in Orlando until almost 11pm the night before our cruise. Loved the idea that we didn't have to hassle with renting a car at that time, driving to another hotel...

Nassau - What do you do?

We were on the Magic this past January and stopped in Nassau. We did a harbor boat tour (60-90 minutes), ate lunch at Hard Rock Cafe, shopped and went back to the ship. Our 13 and 10 year old did NOT like Nassau one bit - all the locals bugging the tourists to buy this, tour that, etc. It...

Kids missing school for a cruise!!

We took our first Disney cruise this past January. We did schedule the cruise for a shorter school week (Monday off for teacher workshop) so then they were only to miss 4 school days. However we live in Minnesota and there was a snow day during that week so they only missed 3 days...

    DCL Confessions

Ahhh....I feel better now knowing I'm not the only one that goes on DCL without their kids. DH and I took a 3 night last week but we didn't tell them we were going anywhere. They weren't home all week so we didn't tell them anything. Ignorance is bliss...... :rolleyes1 :worship: You are...
