    Resort board pet peeves?

To add to this people that spend thousands of dollars on a vacatio and then complain that it takes them two hours to get their dinner reservations. Budget some money for taxis, rent a car, or just deal with it. I personally cant understand why people are so put off that they should have to spend...

club levels...do all of the rooms have nice views?

You can definitely be looking at a parking lot if you book a SV. I think the only Club levels where you are guaranteed a non-awful view are Poly, GF and BW. I'm not sure about AKL, but YC, BC and WL you could potentially have a very bad view.

2012/2013 Beach and Yacht FAQ- Closing Soon- New Thread Started- Don't Post Here

Thanks for this. It looks like there has been some upgrades to page 1 since the last time I read it a year or so ago. This will be our 4th stay at the resort in 2 years. I should be answering questions not asking them LOL.

    Resort board pet peeves?

The wars that go on here between deluxe resort people and value resort people. I find those to be rather silly. Comments I have read like "you should be happy just to be going to Disney" or my favorite "I would sleep in a cardboard box just to be at Disney" Really?

    Downgraded

I would never accept a downgrade. I would not get upset, but I would make sure that a resolution was reached that I was satisfied with.

2012/2013 Beach and Yacht FAQ- Closing Soon- New Thread Started- Don't Post Here

Where can you get a quick breakfast at they YC. I know about the market place. Is there any place on the YC side to grab something quick? This will be our 4th stay at the resort, but we have always stayed Club level. At the moment all that is available for our stay with AP discount is a LV club...

    Resort board pet peeves?

Yes, and if your outsider and you ask a question they ignore you. It's like they have there own special club where they only speak to each other.

Stick with WL or upgrade back to Poly?!

I would switch back to Poly. The WL rooms are very small and dark in comparison. The biggest draw back for me was the dining options. If you like eating on the monorail loop it takes a lot more time from the WL. You have to take the boat to the CR and then get on the monorail.

What is the average price of an 8 night stay?

There is no way to make the cost comparable. If there was actually no discounts on the mods the difference would be less, but Disney always offers discounts so the difference between a moderate and deluxe would be substantial. I don't think there is an average that any family pays. It really...

Boardwalk Inn or Beach Club? Never stayed at either

I like the YC or the BWI. I thought the room condition, and the overall appearance of the BC was poor.

The WALDORF ASTORIA ORLANDO and HILTON BONNET CREEK Information Thread

I have to agree with you on the condition of the rooms at WDW. They keep raising the prices, but they are not keeping up the resorts. I just priced out the Waldorf a SV room is only 218.00 a night that is cheaper than our YC garden view room with the 35% off AP rate. I would not want to spend...

    Is it just me....

I totally disagree with you. This is a message board. People are free to discuss their feelings and opinions about Disney good or bad. I don't feel this board should be limited to only people that have positive things to say. I don't know why people take criticism of Disney so personally...

Aulani weather and water in feb?

That's disappointing to hear. We are planning on staying at Aulani in January. I hope they fix it. I like warm water.

I don´t want to bring bad news but....

GEEZ. I have never checked the price on the values we always stay deluxe, but that is really overpriced. Have you considered staying offsite like Bonnet Creek. I have never tried it, but I have read great things about it. It's where we will probably stay when I get sick of Disney prices.

    Is BCV run down?

Thanks for all the replies. We have stayed at most of the deluxe resorts, and I have found the BC to be the most in need of a refurb. In my opinion most of the resorts could use more TLC. I love the location and the pool, and I thought having a washer and dryer in the room would be great. We...

    Is it just me....

Yeah I'm kind of like you. My kids are at that perfect Disney age and it's has been a nice vacation spot for us. I can't say any of us our diehard Disney lovers. We never buy souvenirs, and I consider sitting through a Disney movie or any other animated movie for that matter to be a form of...

    Is BCV run down?

I was thinking of getting a 1bdr villa at BC instead of a room at BC or YC. What is the condition of the rooms like. I have read some not so great reviews on trip advisor. It what be a cash reservation.

    Is it just me....

We take vacations outside of Disney, and our Disney vacations are always the most expensive. We have been to Hawaii and Cancun in the last two years and those vacations were about half the cost of what I am spending at Disney. It really depends on how you do Disney. We stay in deluxe type...

2012/2013 Beach and Yacht FAQ- Closing Soon- New Thread Started- Don't Post Here

Is Hurricane Hannahs open yet? What about the health club. We were at the BC in October and they were closed. We are staying at the Yacht Club in May, and I am just wondering if construction is finished yet.

Club level vs. standard..what is the diff?

Breakfast is cereals, pastries, bagels, oatmeal, and fruit. In the afternoon they have cookies and chips, and at happy hour time they have appetizers, beer and wine. 8-10 it's cordials and desserts. Sodas, ice tea, and coffee is always available. Other than breakfast I don't think the offerings...
