    Is Mara worth a try?

On our first trip (May 2015), we were getting cranky at AK, so we just hopped a bus to AKL and had lunch at the Mara. We were really impressed with the variety of options. I had the falafel and zebra domes (both were DELICIOUS!), and my husband had the chicken Caesar salad. We definitely...

Favorite Breakfast in the Magic Kingdom resort area?

Agreed! I've been craving the strawberry soup for months!

How is Minnie's seasonal dine at Hollywood and Vine?

The costumes are cute, but I thought the food was underwhelming. There wasn't as much variety as I expected (particularly in regards to dessert), and it was palatable, but I didn't eat anything that I thought was really good. The lobster and shrimp mac and cheese did not live up to the hype for...

Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café Appreciation Thread

We've only eaten there once, but we enjoyed it. It's not my favorite QS meal, but it's not bad (and the fact that there are plenty of seats and air conditioning made it a godsend on a sweltering September afternoon). My husband is not an adventurous eater, so he prefers places like Cosmic Ray's...

Snacking around the world-tell me your faves

A lot of my favorites have been mentioned, but a couple that haven't been are the black forest cake in Germany and the frangipane in France.

BOG Breakfast vs.Lunch - need help deciding which to cancel!

Lunch is a better value if you're paying OOP, IMO. I think I may slightly prefer the food at breakfast, but lunch is really good too! We had a very leisurely lunch and never felt rushed.

Your Tippy-Top of the List Disney Dining Experiences?

1.) Lunch at Coral Reef. We thought the food was delicious, our server was wonderful, and the ambience was unparalleled. 2.) Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. The food is really good, there's a lot of variety, and my kids really enjoyed the characters. 3.) Dinner at Les Chefs de France. Fantastic...

    Trader Sam's...alone??

I'm planning on going during my solo trip. My husband isn't a drinker and has no interest in going, so I figured this was the perfect opportunity.

Planning First Solo Trip - Please Help!!

Issue #1 - I'm no help there. Issue #2 - I have yet to take a tour, but I'm kind of in the same boat as you, planning my first solo trip for my birthday. I'm planning to take the DestiNATIONS Discovered tour at Epcot. I LOVE World Showcase, so it sounds like the perfect tour for me! Issue #3 -...

Coral Reef is good. We also like to just snack around the world for lunch (Norway and France are my favorites).

    Favorite Snacks?

I know I probably sound like a broken record on these threads, but I am all about the school bread at Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in the Norway pavilion at Epcot! It's my favorite food at Disney World! They have a lot of other interesting options in there too.

    WORST DISNEY DINING EXPERIENCE

We've never really had bad service, but the worst food we've had was at Mama Melrose's. It was just kind of bland and uninspired. I was really underwhelmed. The Caesar salad was good though.

What do you always plan to do but never accomplish?

The Enchanted Tiki Room. Every trip, I tell myself we're going to go, and every trip, something else comes up. I WILL go next Thursday!

What are the best tips you have for creating the perfect day in the Magic Kingdom?

Don't be afraid to go off-plan. Sometimes the best and most memorable moments happen when you just stop to smell the roses! Also, rather than rushing out of the park with the hordes after the fireworks, take a ride on the PeopleMover. It's relaxing, the breeze feels good, and by the time you're...
