Comcast Out, Mel Gibson In On Disney Takeover?

Well at least Mel's movies would be in the company of others of the same genre.

    Dark Days at Disney World

Sounds like fun - where do I sign up? Do they take 44 year olds? Its true - youth is wasted on the young! I am not homosexual (married with 2 daughters) but from what I have read about the FRC its a hateful organization that is out to demonize homosexuality.

How are the lines the end of May??

We have always gone in may and find the crowds are light. Early May is better as the crowds build as you approach Memorial Day. Alot of local schools plan there trips to USF in May so it can be kind of crowded.

    Driving to WDW from Toronto

I also highly recommend the "Along the I-75" book by Dave Hunter. It was amazing how accurate he is in predicting where the speed traps will be! I got a copy from the library on extended loan. We have driven from Waterloo twice along I-75. We leave at 6 am and arrive in Dalton Georgia by...

    Best Route from Toronto

On the way back we left WDW at about 6:40 am and reached Corbin Kentucky at about 7:30 pm. The next day we left at about 7:00 am and got home to Waterloo at about 4:30 pm. One other thing - On the way back we usually leave on a Sunday. This makes for much less traffic through the...

    Best Route from Toronto

I have driven the I-75 route many times. The last time was 2 weeks ago. It takes me 20-22 hours. We leave Waterloo at 6 am with lunch and snacks packed so we don't have to stop as much. We reach Dalton Georgia at about 7:30-8:00 pm where we stop for the night. On day 2 we leave at...

    Anybody else having University dilemma's??

I went to McMaster for engineering, its a great school and very well respected. My wife went to U of T. It is a very spread out university plunked down in the middle of a city. She also went to Mc aster and said she liked it much better. Queens is a nice university but not well known for...

NEW (and IMPROVED, if THAT's possible!)Wilderness Lodge FAQ

The rooms facing the Villas "quiet" pool are also "courtyard" and are very quiet rooms. I would highly recommend this view if you wanted courtyard or woods view as it affords both. In my opinion the only better view would be an end room overlooking Bay Lake. I think the fact that Disney...

NEW (and IMPROVED, if THAT's possible!)Wilderness Lodge FAQ

The view they showed on the Travel channel show from the deluxe room is exactly the same view we had except I think we were up one floor. The view they showed was looking out over the Villas pool and adjacent woods. Wow deja vue all over again!

NEW (and IMPROVED, if THAT's possible!)Wilderness Lodge FAQ

I had posted this on the Resort Board and I am reposting it hear at kimmar067 suggestion. Just got back today from an 8 night stay at the lodge (May 17-25). The WL is fantastic and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We had a block of 3 standard rooms booked at the AP rate of $124...

    Squished Pennies

I have been going to WDW since 1971 so I guess I am remembering really old prices. I must have been wrong about the 25 cents in 2001. At any rate I think 50 cents is too much and I won't bother collecting them at that price.

    Just got home

MaMudduck The tickets were fine. All we had to do was stop at the ticket booth our first night at the MK and exchange them for new tickets. I am glad we bought them.

    Just Back From WL

Tina Sorry to hear you had a noisey room. I don't know why you had so much trouble with insects. Your experience was very different from ours. One night I left the balcony door open and the lights on accidentally when we went to the pool. When we came back a couple of hours latter...

    Squished pennies

When we were at the world 2 years ago in 2001 we collected a few squished pennies. On our return last week we thought it would be fun to collect as many as we could find. We were so disappointed to see that they have raised the price of these pennies to 50 cents from 25 cents. How can they...

    What are they building?

I just got back yesterday from a week at WDW and I have a question someone here might be able to answer. I could see at least 3 large cranes directly to the west of the Poly - MK area. What are they building there? I know a little about construction equipment and they appeared to be medium...

    Just Back From WL

I disagree lmhall2000. I have a cottage in northern Ontario near Algonquin Park and our wilderness pool (Lake Kawagama) is about 5 miles long and 1/2 a mile wide!!! DisNance - I can't imagine anyone not liking this resort. What reservations did you have? magicmouse2 - I didn't try the...

    Crowds and Heat Right Now?

From May 17th to the Friday of Memorial Day weekend the crowds were not bad. On the MDW the crowds were bad, all fast passes at MK were gone by 2:30-3:00pm Saturday and standby wait times were 45-60 mins+. We didn't find the water parks to be too bad during the week. When we got there on...
