Palo question with two couples travelling together

We cruise with friends and we each book Palo for 4 (so we get twice a cruise) and one brunch. The only issue we came up against was the REAS -- we both did it and had to do the turn-down service the first visit to Palo. Once you're there, talk to the server too, ours (Francesia) told us that...

Can anyone tell me if the Tropical Rainforest is busy on Sea days?

There are no reservations for the rainforest, it's always come and go. It is generally more crowded on sea days than port days. However, if you time it right, you are often alone in there.

    Captain Signings

Watch the Navigator's for times. It's done in Treasure Ketch. We had our NYE Lithograph and NYE menus signed by him. In addition, he signed Captain trading cards for each of the kids (they were with us).

    Diamonds International

I bought a tanzanite and diamond bracelet in Cozumel from DI . . . although I really like it and it will always remembered as a cruise souvenier (for my anniversary and birthday), I think I could have done just as well price-wise here. I did think St. Thomas and St. Marteen had great diamond...

We were told that it had "been like that for 10 months" already . . . it didn't look like they were moving too quickly!

Bad Ports, bumming my cruise high!

For the 12/29/04 cruise, Capt Marvins was running, however DCL cancelled all their excursions. When we showed up at Capt Marvins, they suggested that children under 10 NOT go. It was windy, thus the water was choppy and even adults were having trouble standing on the sandbar. Same story for...

    grand cayman-->>hurricane damage??

Those were our general thoughts too on our 12/28/04 cruise . . . our DS (4) loved the tender to GC though and DD (7) and DH liked just walking around. Our stingray swim was cancelled due to the weather. GC shops were definately costly. I wasn't impressed with Cozumel at all. The main...

    pillowcase ideas?

I got mine on spools at JoAnn's Fabrics . . . princesses for the girls and Mickey's for the boys. Come to think of it, they had embroidered iron-on patches too that would work well.

    pillowcase ideas?

I made my own for our 2003 cruise because I wanted to make travel pillow size. I added ribbon by using the decorative stitches on my sewing machine, just around the edge. Guest services LOVED them and the kids loved them even more -- they still sleep with them.

Bumping up a 7 year old to 8-9 group to be with sibling?

We moved our 4.5 year old to the 5-7 year old club on the 12/28/2004 Western. It was termed a "trial" basis, but he did fine. They didn't bat an eye when we asked.

? for those who have had kids in sep. age groups - how often were the groups togeth?

We were on the 12/28/04 cruise. My DS was in the 3-4 while my DD was in the 5-7. There are several times when both groups are in the same area and they are allowed to interact. Mid-cruise we had my DS (4.5) moved to the 5-7 just b/c logistically he tolerated the clubs better when he was...
