Need guidance on buying "package" for business trip

I couldn't think of a more descriptive title... sorry about that. I'm going to a conference in May and was blessed enough to be offered Port Orleans or Animal Kingdom Lodge as my hotel choices by my employer. Being sensitive to expenses, I took PO which was already a bonus since I didn't...

LOL! Since you put it that way... of course. I have a framed 5x7 of that photo signed in sharpie by the head cheese himself. :earsboy: And I expect to see y'all in November. My crew, most of my camera gear, and I plan to be there. Sam

I took my own pictures of the characters early in the cruise, printed them at Shutters, and then dropped them off at guest services for autographs. Sam

How many of you take your tripod with you on the cruise?

Here are some suggestions on small support devices for your camera. Depending on how serious you are about your photography, how heavy your camera is, and how picky you are about your pictures, these may or may not be overkill - but it'll at least give you an idea of what's available...

How many of you take your tripod with you on the cruise?

I did lug my tripod and a small collection of lenses as well, and I got plenty of those "what a geek" looks. :-) I used my tripod to shoot panoramas and night shots around the ship. A good compromise might be a table pod or similar, portable device that you put on top of trash cans...

    DCL picture of the day

Thank you. :) Flash photography is not allowed in the theater. There is enough light if you have a fast lens and fast film or a fast sensor (digital). I shot most of my at ISO 800-1000 with a fast lens (usually f/2.8 or faster). That particular Mickey picture was, I think, ISO 1000, f/2.8...

You're welcome. I really don't have much of a sweet tooth, but this souffle is very, very good. Dare I say better than Palo's chocolate souffle? Sam

    Question for Palo souffle recipe

I've found vanilla bean in specialty food stores and at Williams & Sonoma. It's expensive but tastes MUCH better than vanilla extract. I use it for my custards and souffles. 1/2 of 1 bean split down the side is enough flavoring for a typical recipe. I'm not really much of a cook but was...
