    Things to Do Near Port

We went to the Brevard County Zoo after our cruise last month. If you have a zoo membership where you live, it may not even cost you. Many have reciprocal privileges around the country.

    Disney Dream Ship Tour

The Art of the Theme tour was offered several times on our 3 day Dream cruise in April, none of which were sea days. There wasn't a sign up and there were 3 cruisers and 2 other CMs who hadn't seem the tour before. It was great!

What time did you get luggage?

We cruised two weeks ago. Our luggage all came between 2 and 330. We had all of it by the time we left the room for the safety drill.

    Cruising with Dairy Allergies

I had a similarly semi negative experience on our April 4 cruise. I had noted that my son is lactose intolerant, and has sensitivities to oranges, carrots and berries. I was assured that they carried lactose free milk on board so I didn't bring any. There was none to be found. As a PP said, most...

    Cabanas on the last moning

It wasn't advertised anywhere on our 3 night Dream cruise 4/4-4/7, but our server mentioned it at the last dinner. I don't remember what time it opened, but when we went at 8, it wasn't busy at all. I think people tune out the servers by that point of dinner because everything is listed in the...

    Magnets

I just printed ours last week. I used photo paper, laminated them, and then used the magnets that come in a roll with adhesive on one side. They look great and are nice and sturdy from the laminating.

April 2013 Car Rental Discount Thread

I booked last week with National using the KLM code for a minivan and got $313.89 for 6 days out of MCO 4/3-4/9. Continuing to look and see if rates go down. I've heard rates are lowest 5-10 days before you leave.

    DREAM: April 4-7 2013

Does anyone have younger kids? My son is almost 4 and very social. I'm sure he would love to find some kids his age to play with, even though its a short cruise!

Port Canaveral hotel vs. Disney pros/cons

We are cruising in 16 days!! We had also been trying to figure out where to stay before and the best option for transportation. We have 4 in our party (me, my son, my bf, bf's mom). We essentially need a room with 3 beds which was hard to come by economically. We ended up using some codes we...

    DREAM: April 4-7 2013

I tried to find more info on this today and didn't find much. What time does it start, does it cost, how do you sign up? I don't run either, but I like to walk. I could be persuaded to do this!

    Carseats?

This won't help you once you are on the ship, but this has been a lifesaver for me more than once! http://www.amazon.com/Traveling-Toddler-Seat-Travel-Accessory/dp/B000JHN3AS/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1362805052&sr=8-8&keywords=latch+strap+for+car+seat It's a strap that uses the LATCH...

    Switching staterooms

The third family ended up cancelling, which means I am stuck with MIL. Anyone have any advice for vacationing with a hateful person who is outwardly mean and disrespectful of boundaries and feelings?

    Switching staterooms

MIL will definitely be planning to go. 3 of her 5 children and their families are supposed to be on this trip. She got booked in our stateroom because we are a family of 3, while the other family is a family of 4. The 3rd family is the one in concierge, and it would be too expensive to...

    Switching staterooms

We are 42 days away from sailing. The reason this concerns me is that the MIL is booked in our stateroom but was planning on staying in the concierge suite. I don't want her with us! Can we do a name change and put hers instead of the wife's? Even if the husband doesn't go, she would be...

    Switching staterooms

What is the cancellation policy? Will they be able to get any money back if they end up canceling? If they can't get money back and don't go, won't their suite just end up being empty?

    Switching staterooms

We are traveling with family in April, but one of the families has just decided to divorce and probably won't be joining us. They have booked a concierge suite. I know they will wait until the last minute to decide. They haven't booked flights yet, and I doubt they bought trip insurance. If they...

    Here's the postcard thread for returning/future cruisers - "Pay-it-forward!" - Part 2

We are cruising on the Dream in April. My son would be thrilled to get a postcard. I tried to do the character phone call, but my son tried to put it on speaker and accidentally ended the call. I have another one scheduled for right before we leave, but he keeps asking to call Mickey. Maybe this...

free tickets to Kennedy Space Center

Just got an email response to my inquiry for tickets in April. They forwarded the email they got from NASA that said they are out through June but are taking requests for July and August. This is the email they used to contact NASA: hq-congressionalrequest@mail.nasa.gov. Just thought I'd pass...
