What do you pack to carry all day?

Being spoiled in most parts of Canada with delicious fresh from the tap water, you will likely NOT be able to handle the water at Disneyland... it really is awful. We learned this the hard way our first trip and ended up buying drinks all day... such a waste of money. After that, we started...

What type of clothes to wear beginning of Feb

I would wait until a few days before your trip before finalizing the packing list. The weather is pretty unpredictable. We went early February a few years ago and it was chilly, in the low to mid teens Celsius so we were wearing sweaters and pants (locals were in parkas and gloves :rotfl2:) but...

Do You Take Your Kids Out of School to Go to Disneyland?

Actually, my DDs teacher (grade 2) was SO excited for my daughter's trip (she missed 5 days) and even encouraged it claiming that she is a firm believer that children should take as many opportunities as possible to travel and learn more about different places in the world and have different...

    DL, good, bad, ugly

I don't have much to add other than... Dirty?! Seriously? I have never seen a cleaner place in my life than DLR. Most bathrooms had cleaners in them during all hours, going from stall to stall as they vacated. I never noticed a single piece of trash other than after a parade or show and even...

    Weight Restrictions on Rides?

Wow... this surprises me as two average weight adults could easily hit this (thinking of me and dh specifically).

It's Finally Happening, we are Going to Disneyland!!!!

Woohoo! Congratulations! You're totally going to love it. :cool1: There is so much to do and ride there that my only concern is that you're going to be spending a lot of precious time sitting in restaurants. If you are going there for a week, it might be okay but if you only have 4 or 5...

    Indiana Jones FastPass

They are always available, assuming the ride is working. The only ride I noticed that had set days for FPs was Goofys Sky School in DCA.

    Peter Pan Refurb 2015

Very curious how they will update this. I do love this ride but it's soooooooo short for the time you spend waiting. I swear its a 30 second ride. Maybe they can magically make it longer...? :rotfl:

    OMG... the Cell Phones!

I felt the same way but I didn't want to pay the small fortune for a roaming package (being from Canada). But you know, it was fabulous not being able to check my FB every hour or reply to (usually pointless) texts that would normally come in on a regular basis. My kids got a lot more attention...

    Fast Passes

RSR is now connected, however, it's not so bad because you can get another FP within 2 hours of the time you were issued the RSR FP. I didn't realize this at first and figured we would be fastpass-less all day until our RSR return time but the CM at the FP machine pointed out that it is really...

    Baymax

My dd met Baymax and Hiro a few weeks ago and unfortunately, Baymax doesn't do much but waddle and move his head up and down, Baymax-style :). Oh, and he lets the kids hug him but his suit is pretty restrictive. But Hiro did the fist bump with dd and did the sound effect. It was really cute.

What is there of Baymax at Disneyland (Merchandise wise) and where?

We were shocked at how little they had of Big Hero 6. Other than Baymax balloons everywhere, there was really nothing. As someone else mentioned, there was a tiny little corner of merchandise at Star Traders and I think I saw a little bit at that one comic-book type Store in DTD (sorry! Don't...

The Lucky Family who Opens DL

The family we saw get chosen was first in line at their turnstile, wore all matching custom-made Mickey shirts with Santa hats and were totally crazy (loud and stupid-happy... lol). I totally burst out laughing when the teenage girl in front of us stated "Nothing is worth wearing matching...

So what's with all the curbside blankets saving parade spots?

People are strange when it comes to the parades and shows on the streets... we saw it plenty during our trip. We did see a few random blankets draped across curbs without anyone around them a few hours before parade time. We just found it funny but I would imagine it would totally be a tripping...

    OMG... the Cell Phones!

I think this is wonderful! :goodvibes.

    OMG... the Cell Phones!

Go-pros... wow. I couldn't believe how many of those we saw. People just walking around with these things in front of them. So crazy. Plenty of them on rides too. I actually prefer these because everyone can still enjoy the shows/rides/etc without a distraction of a big device or glowing screen...

    Where to Stay?

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn on Anaheim last week and we really liked it. The distance from the park is good (7 min walk). The hotel was very clean and quiet and we got fresh Seattle's Best coffee in the onsite restaurant every morning. I would highly recommend it!

    OMG... the Cell Phones!

We were in Disney last week and I'm not sure if anyone else notices this but the amount of people with their faces glued to their cell phones in Disney is insane. Yes, it's a great way to kill time in a line but when you're bumping into people all day who seem to be physically unable to peel...

    A Fabulous Time yet Again

This is getting a bit silly. Yes, the OP (me) said that healthy children over a certain age should be encouraged to walk to try and reduce strollers in the park. The OP (me) did NOT try to declare that your child, or other peoples' children are healthy when they are not. You seem to have gotten...
