    questioning my membership

Well, now, here's the thing: the ONLY resort where we've consistently gotten a "Welcome Home" is VWL. Didn't happen at BWV; we just bought another contract at OKW so we shall see. the front desk staff at BCV count as the rudest and least helpful for our family. Just a cranky day, I guess...

A New and More Exciting DVC

    1. member events that don't cost an arm and a leg 2. more DVC gear that doesn't cost an arm and a leg 3. discounts on some form of tickets (I'd prefer annual passes at the Florida Resident rates or better) 4. more car rentals on property. Basically, I agree that they have us (DVC...

however the quick answer to your question:yes. The breaking point is 8 days or longer - go for the Annual Pass. Besides, any good Disney Freakazoid knows that owning your own annual pass is just about the best souvenir you can have.:teeth:

Dedicated or Lock-off for WLV 2-br

we stay in room 4508. This looks out over Mickey's topiary holding the sign. Not quite the woods, but quiet and nice, and a cool balcony. It is also smoke-free (my biggest request)

How old is too old for a Disney vacation?

this past January, we went for 5 days for the Marathon. The DS, age 15 years, 4 months, was particularly unimpressed with the idea of going, with wanting to be with family, and expressed his opinions by waffling about the trip all the way up to 2 days before we left. He then announced he didn't...

    Is there any cure....

alcohol, drugs, running around on your spouse, listening to political candidates, cleaning up dirty diapers, scrubbing toilets . . . you get the idea. Personally, it's kind of fun being known in the entire county as the woman to come to who knows about Disney. . . .and yeah,it gets worse...

Traveling with Genghis Khan's Mongolian hordes ...

From the perspective of a family therapist, I agree whole-heartedly with HookedonWDW. Having behavioral guidelines will life easier for everyone. Acceptable use of the couch, acceptable use of the bathrooms, the phone, etc. An understanding that, even though you are not their parents, you...

    Trip Report-No more invited guests!

We took my bio sister and her family on the 7 day land and sea package deal last year. It went really well, once we all got used to the fact that my BIL is never happy with anything, is so overweight that he hates walking, and generally doesn't want to do anything but sit around and program his...

Any more word about DVC catalogs?

it's the prices that are the problem! When we were there in January, I looked at BCV for something with the DVC logo on it. My options were limited and I'm sorry, but I'm not paying $55 for a polo shirt with embroidery on it!! Maybe WDW should know the lack of response is related to finances...

Well, isn't this a nice surprise!! I didn't know the DIS did this. I had a wonderful day - I am now "in my prime" since I celebrated a prime # birthday this year. Just to show how everyone knows me, for presents this birthday I received: Disney Trivial Pursuit Disney Candyland (I am a...

    Home Resort Regrets?

We took the tour in 1999, when they were selling BWV. We should have bought then. We bought in Feb 2003, and we specifically went down to buy into DVC. We bought at VWL, because it is by far and away our favorite place to hang out/eat/ wander around at WDW. The only regret is that we should...

2003 christmas tree pass on from dvc member to dvc member/ new list for 2004

This is getting to be fun!! OK, WDW Star, I'll look for the pm/email. I bought some little hiking marshmallow snowmen ornaments - it won't take many more, especially if we put the ribbons with everyone's names and states on it as well. My understanding is that I am only in charge of the...

The next DVC resort-what do you want?

Actually, I hear the arguments about Castaway Cay ( i knew I spelled it wrong before, and was brain dead), and that was our favorite part of the cruise. Our whole family commented that we would like to spend more time there. This could be because the Love Of My Life gets horribly seasick it...
