    Wrong side of this ship...

At CC Starboard side, at Nassau it depends on what ship is next to you if you have one! Other port's also depend on what berth is assigned and the ships direction is subject the prevailing winds as well. I wouldn't worry too much and enjoy the view you get!

Cruise for 20 year olds/night life?

Unless your ALL fans of the Fab 5 and love Disney stories for the shows onboard, I would skip DCL and spend your money with 2 nights at DLR and take maybe a Royal Carribean cruise?

    Wrong side of this ship...

Be happy your on a cruise and enjoy it! Waste no more energy on what side your on, just enjoy the atmosphere, and since your on the Fantasy, you may be on the island side or bay view side of your other ports than Nassau so celebrate that and go up on deck to watch the fireworks!!!

Does Palo ever bend age rules?

I dont think any attitude was meant, just that by knowing that certain area's are meant for adults, and some for minors that they have waited and respected that, and when they have reached that milestone in their lives that enables them extra privileges and hence more responsibility in their...

My EXTRA tip for Room Service

Yep! And I too appreciate the fact you appreciate and enjoyed seeing them let off steam and have fun even being overlooked by the very same people that pay their wages! Everyone needs to let off a little steam once in a while and the crew deck outside in the fresh air, open to every CM not...

My EXTRA tip for Room Service

clairedy6, Don't forget that all CM's on the ship can work up to the max 92 hours per week and those include the chefs, sous chefs, pot washers, yellow suit guys, servers entertainment crew, kids club ent's team. Those that chose to use to use the pool do so, those that choose to sleep...

    Cruises during the winter months...

Well what cruise are you on? You will already know what temperatures are regular for Jan/Feb so when embarking and leaving port they will be just that! The further south you go expect them to get slightly warmer! The temperature inside the ships are regulated so expect them to be the...

    Windy?

As kcashner said, if the ship is doing 20 knots (pretty much the maximum it can), thats around 23 miles an hour, so it can be windy. Less so if the wind is behind the ship, more so if the wind is in front! But factor in the air temperature (where are you cruising and when?) and even if windy it...

Royal Caribbean. -child falls from balcony

Seriously thou, look at the reports of how many people have UNintentionally fallen overboard on cruise ships vs. how many have INtentionally fallen overboard. You are really stressing about nothing,

Royal Caribbean. -child falls from balcony

Not really considering DCL has two locks on the verandah door and it is heavy to open, and DCL verandah's have plexiglass and if you are all out on it you supervise your kids? All other areas on the ship are fall-proof and kid friendly like your verandah? Just watch them when they are with...

Royal Caribbean. -child falls from balcony

So so sad. I personally think the cruise line cannot be blamed for this. They can only take responsibility for the passengers so far, and then the rest is up to us. Thoughts and prayers to the parents and so close to Christmas.

    pool size

That is a valid point, only if you look at it from a cruiser POV. DCL must have had a reason they didn't increase the beam of the new ships. The Post Panamax Panama Canal will be able to allow ships of up to 160'. But our voice was raised about the pools and must have been heard, so there...
