If you have problems staying in the sun, my suggestion is an umbrella or parisol. You wont be the only one with one, trust me. It's a lifesaver. I have similar medical problems that keep me to the wheel chair and from doing well in heat. As for the terrain, there IOA side does have some hills...

I think trying both parks with the hopper is really worth it. The Hogwarts express really is amazing, and it was nice to switch from one to the other park whenever we wanted to. I would say get the hopper.

Really? I've been once in October, but we'd stayed at a disney property and came over to universal for the day. It wasnt too bad, but I didnt know how the hotels might be.

We went October of last year, and while it was quieter than most times I've heard, we still saw bunches of families and couples being sent away. My suggestion is to make at least a couple of reservations. You can always cancel up to the day before. plus being able to just walk in and be seated...

The FP+ is done 60 days before your check in date. So you dont have to worry about that yet. I do suggest you make sure to link everything on your mydisney account. That thing was a lifesaver the last time we went.

even if you plan nothing else, plan on your dining and get reservations. Otherwise you're going to be severly disappointed when you get there and all those cool looking places to eat are completely booked. Other than that, we didnt really plan much beyond getting an idea of where thngs were...

as another DL vet, I would have to suggest going to Epcot. It was probably my favorite park when we went last year. There's wonderful food, interesting things to see and do and it's different than the parks at dl.

There's a 5:15 on Oct 21 for California Grill. It's too early for me, but hopefully someone else can use it.

Just released California grill for Oct 21 at 9:20 for 2. I got a slightly better time, but I'm still hoping for 8-8:30

There are two times for California Grill for Oct 21. 5:30 and 9:30. Neither work for me, but I hope that they can work for someone.

There's a party of 2 for the california grill at 9:50 on Oct 21. It's too late for me but it's been up for awhile tonight. I've been checking for an earlier time.

They do offer it on the halloween nights. I actually have reservations on the night i'm going. But it is for 5:30, so I'm not sure about later in the night.
