The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 2.0

Sorry don't have one with the sofa bed out, but this does give you an idea. It is roughly the same length as the bed, but the table intrudes more at that end in comparison to the dresser, and you have to find a space for the coffee table. So bottom line if spending any time in the room you...

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 2.0

There is a CVS only a 15-20min walk away, I always find that easier than doing a delivery. I also pack my own picnic plates and silverware (plus a good knife) as I find the paper plates not much use.

Solo adult trying to park hop in Disneyland MK and California Adventure in 1 day. Where to start?

Just to clarify at DLR park hopping starts at 1pm (not 2pm). I was there 2 weeks ago and found Genie+ worked best for Disneyland (and it was easy to just get continuous passes during the afternoon/early evening for all the rides). I would base the decision on which park to start in based on...

    Which Hotel?

If you are thinking that this will be a one and only visit to TDR I would recommend MiraCosta, it is an amazing hotel and the hotel and park totally unique. When we stayed we just sorted our breakfast the night before, dropping into one of the bakeries and picking up goodies for the morning. We...

    Who is planning for 2022?

Found I was very generous with tipping, was just so great to be back on holidays I felt like spreading the joy, and was mindful that staff in tourism/hospitality have been missing their international travelers.

International and domestic flights on the one ticket?

Qantas is currently selling Australia to MCO (Orlando) flights, both via LAX and Dallas/Fort Worth. With the announcement of Australian borders opening to tourists there should be more options available soon.

    Digital Membership Cards?

I had major problems with this at Disneyland last week. Everything was perfect when I paid for things through the app, like Mobile Food Orders and shopping/purchasing in store with the app - my discount was automatically applied. At sit down dining locations everyone was just happy to see a...

    Who is planning for 2022?

We flew Qantas and did a points upgrade to Business which was totally full (mind you that still gives you plenty of distance from others). Judging by the amount of people at baggage claims I would think economy was around 1/3 of capacity. They kept announcing that even though there were lots of...

    Who is planning for 2022?

Well after starting this thread over 4 months ago (and booking our DVC VGC accommodation 11 months ago), we have finally had our first day in Disneyland. Our biggest stress ended up being passing the COVID test 24 hours out, but we diligently wore our P2 masks for 2 weeks leading into the trip...

    Air New Zealand vs ...?

Air New Zealand is a great airline, but you need to really prepare yourself mentally for having a "rest break" only 3 hours into a now 16+ hour flight. That said we leave on Sunday from Brisbane and have to go via Sydney to LAX, so nearly the same thing, and just mentally planning that the...

    Questions about Grand Californian

For room requests just use the online chat function on the DVC website, I wrote my request out in full first (with reservation #, dates etc) and then just cut and pasted it into the chat. Got a great response from the CM on the chat, but yet to check in and see if it worked.

    Who is planning for 2022?

This makes me so happy to read - I so need this trip. We are booked for WDW in November, but I am planning on this week at DL/DCA in January to be magical. We also insured with Covermore, seemed to have good coverage at a good price.

    Who is planning for 2022?

Thanks for you post, we have stocked up on our N95 masks (enough to cover the whole trip), and will also aim on outside dining. I assume it was easy enough to get a test in the US for your return?

    Who is planning for 2022?

Thanks for the well wishes. We managed to get all the dining reservations we wanted including Trader Sam's and Carthay Circle Lounge, so very happy about that. Still seems like a dream that we are heading in 3 weeks, and won't really believe it until I am sitting on the plane. Still a little...

Has anyone had success booking dining? I mean......for the love of churros!

Thanks for the information on timing, managed to grab my 27th January Trader Sam's reservation, when they released yesterday.

Has anyone had success booking dining? I mean......for the love of churros!

Just be aware that Trader Sam hasn't been releasing at the 60 day mark. At the moment they seem to be releasing 1 week at a time, they released 16-22nd January last week (on 3rd December I think).

Has anyone had success booking dining? I mean......for the love of churros!

Reservations for the week of the 16th - 22nd have just opened, hope you can grab your day. I'm hanging out for the next week, so will have to keep stalking.

Has anyone had success booking dining? I mean......for the love of churros!

I have been watching the availability over the last week, as my 60 days starts tomorrow. At 3am PST I am seeing availability for everything you have mentioned. Only ones not coming up that I am hoping for are Trader Sam's and Carthay Circle Lounge.

    Who is planning for 2022?

Well it really does look like our plans for late January at Disneyland will happen, when I first posted here I think I really thought it was a long shot. So tickets now purchased (5 day hopper), park reservations made (no hassles only dates within the next 2 weeks had any limits on options)...
