I'd really prefer a 2 hour window.
We just got back and with 4 kids on this trip, found it challenging to always make it back on time. Within about 20 minutes after the expiration, most would let us go still, which was nice. We did end up with quite a few unused fastpasses, because naps went...
I'd break it up, but we did do 16 hours from SF to Seattle a few times, once with a baby. It was a lot less fun with the baby!
Bring jump ropes and have everyone jump rope at gas stops and potty breaks. Just that little bit of exercise seems to help my group last during long road trips.
We had a pretty rigid plan for our February trip (including breaks and meals) and it was great for our style of touring. We got to do all the things we wanted to do and didn't feel overwhelmed, but we cut out a few things when the kids needed a nap a little earlier than expected, and that was...
If you do an ice chest, here's my tip to avoiding soggy food and keeping everything cold. We camp for a week at a time few weeks every year and I've gotten really good at "ice box Tetris" as my husband calls it. :)
Freeze a solid block of ice in an flat locking plastic containers, like Lock n...
Oh, now that is clever and I wouldn't have considered it! But child swap only covers 2 riders, not 3 for the kids to go a second time with me. It would work with Space Mountain, though, since 7 and 4 don't want to ride.
You don't have to wait right there for a child swap. I did a child swap with DH on the other side of the park with the kids. I was asked where they were and I said DH was entertaining them in Fantasyland and had no problem getting a pass. How boring for them to have to wait for you to ride, then...
Using Touring Plans, this works for me to get back to Indy by 8 pm. I have Star Tours and Space Mountain Fastpasses picked up before our nap to use in the early evening, and this is the first chance to get one when we get back.
I was reading the Jedi tips thread - hopefully these ideas work...
We'll be at Disneyland mid-June with 9yo nephew (first timer), and my 7yo (sensory issues, doesn't do thrill rides or anythings he deems "too scary" so we child swap him), and 4yo (TONS of stamina, adventure junkie - closed the park every night on our last trip!)
Here's my plan for our one...
I think you're misunderstanding my point. I was saying that discipline will not make a kid any less autistic. As you very likely know know, autism isn't caused or solved because of discipline.
Wore my daughter in February and was asked to have her forward facing for lap bar rides, but otherwise no issues. LOVED having her in the carrier rather than the stroller! Way less hassle. :)

My medical conditions are between me and my DOCTOR, not between me and a CM with no medical training at Disneyland! I've never used a GAC but if I needed one, I would object to telling them anything more than my need - which is the only part they need to do...
Are you planning on driving home as well? If it were my trip, I'd take the 5 south and HWY 1 north. It gives you a full day for SF (which is worth it!) and for me, the extra lane away from cliffs overlooking the ocean makes me feel a bit safer while driving. I just don't like driving along the...
Each person is a customer. You can each use one to enter. I've used lots of these deals and have never had any trouble redeeming one per family member.
(I got the same deal and we're excited for the savings!)
If you're driving, you can easily save money on food. Hit up the Trader Joe's for premade sandwiches and salads for $4 each and you've got a healthy dinner. We brought sandwiches, fruit, and chocolate one night and ate them while waiting for World of Color - under $15 for dinner for our family...
I've seen Mickey pancakes on kids meals all over the place, but I don't know if they're the same flavor.
Turkey legs are definitely an iconic Disneyland food. Other than Renaissance fairs, I haven't seen them sold as a snack!
Someone said they'd seen Dole Whips other places, but I haven't...
