    Wrapping up another trip - A few Do's & Don'ts

From a not-so-always perfect Mouseketeer.....a few things weighing on my mind from the past several trips. DO - Watch out for your fellow Mouse's toes. Using your child's stroller as a means to plow through the crowd after an exhausting day can do harm. DON'T - Cough and sneeze without...

BOG Reservations 5 minutes before park closure

That's all we want...kids will be heartbroken if we can't wrap up night with BOG because it was close to regular park closing... I'll double check reservation policy. Thanks!!!

BOG Reservations 5 minutes before park closure

I just snagged an 8:55 dinner reservation for BOG.... Park closes at 9:00 with special event starting at 9:00...which we do not have tickets to. Will they honor our reservation since it's 5 mins before regular park closure? I understand we'll need to swiftly exit after dinner.... But want to...

180 Days out and no BOG????

Ahhhhhhhhh.....180+10 makes sense now as to why we see nothing (We are AP holders, so don't book full packages...). I'm still thinking there might be a later release, so will keep checking. Like other people, we have seen BOG open up the day before as people don't want to pay no-show fees...

180 Days out and no BOG????

I was able to get breakfast, but nothing at all showed up for dinner. I'm super suspicious that the powers-at-be didn't release the BOG dinner times at 180 mark. Still checking daily and nada. After I originally posted this, I was up at 6am of a newly 'available' day and nothing for...

180 Days out and no BOG????

I know BOG is popular....that's why I'm booking at the 180 day mark. Or so I thought.... Where are all the late Feb/ March 1 ressies? Not a one showing up.... Never since it first opened have I had this happen. Are they hanging on to some times and not releasing all at once? HELP! :)

Alligator dragged 2 year old into 7 seas lagoon

Thoughts and prayers with the family and people involved with this horrific story. Could have been any one of us - including us 'helicopter parents'. This world would certainly be a better place with less judgement and more compassion...

Split stay but at same resort

Nope- took a walk on the wild side and left the baggage in the room...LOL

Split stay but at same resort

We've done this a couple times, but it's still a little anxiety provoking for a planner like me because there is no guaranty right up until the day of the continuing reservation... That said, we've stayed in the same room both times :) We have had to visit the front desk to check in to the...

    Best Seafood?

We've never had really great seafood in Disney, but have thought Cape May is decent for a sit down... Believe it or not, for a QS credit, Columbia Harbor House is great. Nothing fancy of course, but the seafood is consistently delicious and can't beat the price if paying OOP :)

    Ohana or The Wave

We tried the Wave for the first time a couple trips ago and absolutely loved it! Wish we had tried it sooner - actually has been one of our favorite meals on property *ever* (kids included). Staff was great too... 'Ohana is good, but I feel the Wave was overlooked by us for so long due to...

Most disgusting thing you've ever seen someone do at a restaurant?

We went out to dinner at a nice place this past weekend for my b-day dinner. Hubby and two kids... We were enjoying our meals when we heard a noise...so all turned our heads to the table next door with some older folks finishing up their desserts. As we were looking on, the source of the...

    Wyndham Reunion

We are booked to go this summer for our first time at Reunion... Really looking forward to it! Rented from an owner and we'll get access to four waterpark days during our 1 1/2 week stay, which seems like it'd be plenty. We have stayed on and off site lots and always have our car or a rental...

Epcot FP+ Watch Thread: Soarin' & Frozen Ride

Trying to wait patiently...not so successfully- lol...for the opening date announcement on Frozen!!!

After hours now half off for AP & DVC members.

As an AP holder, still tough to justify the $300.00 for 4 people and 3 hours (even as offsite w/ no xtra magic next trip)...thought hard about it for a few minutes though.

    BOG strategy

I personally don't think it's *quite* as challenging as it was, but still tougher to get the reservations after the 180 mark. I definitely see more availability around the drop date than I used to, but not for long. I'm usually pretty flexible and work FP+ around the mealtime I snag, so have...

Garden Grill Breakfast and Soarin' RD Advantage?

Garden Grill Breakfast and Soarin' RD Advantage?

Kids are older and don't fuss a lot about characters anymore, but that said, we (meaning ME..lol) don't want to miss out either. We had tried dinner reservations at GG once and waited FOREVER to be called to our seats... An hour past the scheduled reservation, we finally gave up and ate at...

Garden Grill Breakfast and Soarin' RD Advantage?

Trying to make the most strategic decisions for RD at Epcot w/ Soarin' and possibly Frozen opening in June. We've been meaning to give Garden Grill a go any who for breakfast, so wondering if an 8:05 reservation at GG might give us a better vantage point for Soarin' (assuming we eat fast)...
