Salvage Title - Would you buy?

I have a jeep commander w/a salvaged title, it has a replaced engine and had been fully repaired prior to purchase; we even had another mechanic check it out before purchase. The price was amazing and I had no problem getting it fully insured in NJ w/progressive - full coverage. The...

    Sweet Wines

I am a big drinker of sweeter wines, mostly white, althought I have found that all rieslings are not sweet, some are way too dry for my taste. I do not drink much red - although recently we tried a chilean red called "jam jar" that is sweet for a red My current favorites are: Dr Loosen...

Anyone familiar with Spring Lake, NJ ?

DH and I have done several mid week stays at the Ocean House during the summer, it is nice. Very B&Bish (but the breakfast is alot to be desired, some pastries and coffee), rooms are small and walls are thin. Owners are very nice and it is a short walk (1 block) to the beach, however the Ocean...

OT: Honda pilot or Toyota highlander

That is interesting. And I am curious do you have a button or a dial to engage into the AWD? I have never seen/heard of a vehicle being able to engage in AWD, does your car drive 2WD when the AWD is not engaged? Thx

OT: Honda pilot or Toyota highlander

Pal-Mickey, I dont think you are that far from me, I am just over the bridge in NJ off of 94. If it were buying another vehicle I would go with the 4WD, I had a highlander w/4WD and traded it in for an AWD. After this last winter we had I would go back to 4WD in a heartbeat, my AWD vehicle did...

    Carry-on luggage question

Remember if you are doing carry on only, ALL your liquids have to fit in one ziploc baggie per person. And each item in the bag has to be less than 4 ounces each.

Please help with cleaning my shower!!

Home Depot sells a cleaning product called "krud kutter", when we bought our house the shower in the kids bath was disgusting, years i am sure of mildew, soap scum, it was just downright nasty. Krud Kutter worked like magic, it looked brand new after several cleans w/the krud and some elbow grease.

    Is this normal

You are out of line because what you failed to READ is that he is deceased but they claimed he was not as his name was still on the deed, I find it completely out of line that a national company would go so far as to check deed. But oh well to each their own..moving on.

    Is this normal

:rolleyes1 Snarky aren't you, and you must really love that sales job. But overall you are out of line as are most of your posts! (And responses like this are the main reason that I do not post much on these boards)!

    Is this normal

This post has really struck a nerve w/me! And do you really think because BOTH decision makers are there that they are going to sign on the dotted line right then, uh no! You are probably one of many vendors they are seeing. And really, you are in sales it is YOUR JOB to drive an hour to...

    "dating " hubby budget ideas.........

I am a BIG believer in this and that we need to make "US" time. We do this every Friday nite - i love it! Most of the restaurants we go to are from gift certificates on restaurant.com and most are new restaurants for us, some we will go back to, some we won't. We have also taken golf lessons...

    OT-- Philadelphia & nearby beaches

I would recommend the DE beaches over NJ beaches. Specifically, rehoboth, or fenwick island. Fenwick Island has a beach area that is a state park w/bathhouse, lifeguards, etc. It sounds like you are used the FLA beaches, if you so you may be very disappointed in the jersey shore.

Which beach do you vacation at?

We are beach people (me, soon to be DH + 6 kids), we spend most if not all of our vacation time at the beach, we normally rent a house and if we can we get one with a pool. Thankfully all the kids are beach kids - we spend all our days (with the exception of one 1/2 day for jet ski's) at the...

What is the Best Hotel/Resort you've ever stayed at & Why?

My all time favorite resort is the One and Only Palmilla in Cabo, absolutely wonderful...and it was a trip paid for by my company - even better! Wonderful hotel, fabulous food and the service was amazing - each room has their own private butler. Would go back in a heartbeat!

We are going to St Thomas the end of this month  (Surprise for fiance's 51st bday). We have reservations for the Marriott Frenchmens Reef, but everyday I keep hoping for a Ritz code or deal, I always seem to get the Ritz email deals when we are not going anywhere but now that I want one...
