Aulani help (we are back and need help with island hopping) page 5

As many have already said, Kauai is beautifully green and lush, but it seems like the whole island shuts down at 8pm. Unless you stay in Poipu, where there's a little more "night life", be prepared to be in your hotel or house at night with not much to do. I've been to Kauai multiple times and...

    At Aulani Now!

I guess because it was a friday the traffic seemed a bit more congested. Nonetheless today was a busy day. First Hanauma Bay from around 830-11am, then Sea Life Park til 130pm and Kualoa Ranch Movie Sites tour from 3-430pm. Wet n Wild was open til 9pm today so we made it there around 530-730pm...

    At Aulani Now!

Today was North Shore day. We started at Dole Plantation, just to look around, feed the fish and have a Dole Whip. Next was Waimea Beach with the large rock that everyone jumps off of. Almost 40 years old and I survived the jump lol. The waves at the beach are very strong so we didn't stay there...

    At Aulani Now!

This is actually my 3rd time to Aulani. First was in 2012, then 2013 and this week. The additions to the resort have been great. The Ulu cafe is a convenient spot for refills and breakfast. The new grotto is a good break from the main pool, hasn't been busy at all. We've found seats by the new...

    At Aulani Now!

We got in Tuesday late afternoon. Everything has been great. Our 3 grandmas of the group did a tour around the resort and learned a bunch of interesting facts. Our 6yr old DD did Stitch's Space Goo and had a blast, went back for a couple hours of free time at Auntie's later in the day. It's a...

The East side of the island has a lot to offer as well. Look into Kualoa Ranch, Lanikai Beach, Hanauma Bay, Sea Life Park. People watching in Waikiki is also fun, there are many street performers at night on the main street, Kalakaua Ave.

Aulani help (we are back and need help with island hopping) page 5

There is a Turtle Bay on the North Shore and the beach adjacent to the Aulani is not called turtle beach, it's just a small hike/walk to the right of resort where turtles have been known to hang out.

The easiest hike/walk to see a waterfall is Waimea Valley, up near North Shore. Manoa Falls hike is pretty easy too but it can get very wet/muddy if it rains or has rained recently. Manoa Falls is up in the hills above Honolulu. Not sure about PCC activities, I've heard it's an all day thing...

    Aulani Owners Thread - ALOHA!

If you're using points to stay, your room key will have parking programmed into it, you will not need your DVC card for that. You will need the DVc card for discounts at the gift shop and food etc.

    Food budget for Oauh?

In addition to breakfast in your room, you should try to buy enough groceries for a few dinners in your room too. If you limit your spending to one meal outside of your room per day, $100 a day is doable.

Best website for discounts while at Aulani?

There is no better value than the Go Oahu Card. Costco has the 4 day card for the price of a 3 day on the regular website, about $168

Big Family Vacation Aulani June 2015

Costco has the Go Oahu card for $169 for a 4 day pass, which is usually the price of a 3 day. So far we've got Wet n Wild, Kualoa Ranch Movie Tour, Waikiki Ocean Club, Waimea Valley, Dole Plantation and Snorkel North Shore scheduled for 3 of the days. The 4th day we'll probably do something...
