Adding a reply for anyone still looking for hotels -- we're booked at the Clementine Hotel; it has kitchenettes for all rooms plus free parking and breakfast. It's supposed to be a 10 - 15 minute walk from the parks. Will post a review when we return after our trip in April!

They usually have the bag available online as well as in stores, so that's where I usually go (while sitting at home in my pjs).

I second this idea -- if there is something that you know you would like to give to a certain person, please go ahead and give it to them now. My parents started giving away things, here and there, to each of their kids and grandkids several years before they passed away. Less stuff to clean...

My kiddies came along when I was 36 and 40. "Life begins at 40" came true for me!

I guess we're lucky -- it's still like this in my neighborhood (well, except for last year, when Hurricane Sandy stole Halloween). We get 200 - 250 kids trick-or-treating, mostly under age 12 but some teens too, but 90% wear a costume and 95% say thanks. We do have to buy a LOT of candy to...

I just had to order a shirt. Funny, I can still remember having nightmares as a kid about Maleficant, now she's one of my faves. Looking forward to the new movie about her (but I definitely can't take my 5 yr old DD to it).

My daughter's first word was "baby". She would say it when she cried, I guess so we would know exactly who was crying! Her second word was "Diego", from the Go Diego Go show. "Mama" came a distant third. Not sure if it was his first word, but my son's most frequent word for quite a while...

OH! OH! OH! So very, very, very jealous now. I saw The Cure ages ago (at the height of their fame) and would love to see them again. Never got to see DM. Or U2. That's the only thing better than a concert with The Cure & DM -- one with The Cure, DM and U2, as they were mid-80s -early 90s.

I'm ticked off because the person looking for holiday sweaters has not even thought of checking a thrift shop. I know they have tons of holiday sweaters ALL. THE. TIME. Where else do those sweaters end up every year?
