Candy cane is a motel. During their remodel they got rid of the wall unit AC/heater and now have one that similar to hotels. I believe it comes in through the ceiling. I don’t recall it being loud at all.

We have stayed at this hotel quite a bit when it was paradise pier and we very rarely got a room with a connecting door. Maybe you can call ahead and politely ask for a room without a connecting door? I would ask again at check in as well. Have a great trip!!

We were there last month and they are renovating all the rooms on the side closest to downtown Disney. I’m not sure how that works when the rooms are finished and when they add them into the inventory.
