No kids, new to Disney. Only doing 1 sit down restaurant, what's your favorite?

I would absolutely recommend San Angel Inn at Epcot for a relatively inexpensive sit-down meal to anyone who likes Mexican food. The atmosphere is great, and so peaceful - we loved our lunch there last year! If you're looking to skip a park, I would agree with those who've said it's a better...

Where do you like to go for the last meal on vacation?

Our last actual meal is always dinner on the last night, because on our last morning we wake up, load up the car, and go. Where we have that last dinner usually varies, but we like to close down MK on our last night, and we always get ice cream on Main Street right before closing time. We grab...

Disney Eating - How Do You Do It

I wouldn't really put one ahead of the other. We relish the different meal choices and dining atmospheres that Disney offers...and then use that energy in our nonstop touring! Seriously, no WDW trip would be complete without both an afternoon of snacking around the world at Epcot and a day...

    I wish Disney had

Agreed. Because every flavor comes out through the same spout, to me, whatever you get ends like a funky amalgam of all the flavors. No thanks.

    Marrakesh anyone?

I really enjoy Tangierine Cafe but didn't care for the food at Marrakesh. The atmosphere was great, but we got the Chicken Couscous (blech) and the Shish Kebab (edible but wouldn't choose to get it again).

Are there folks out there that NEVER eat at a TS restaurant?

I think the answer to not getting tired of CS places is to choose places that are more off the beaten path and aren't the usual burgers and chicken fingers. Epcot World Showcase choices, WPE or EoS at Downtown Disney, now BOG at lunch, things of that nature.

Are the signature restaurants that much better?

The dining plan reimburses the restaurants a set amount of money for a 1 TS credit (double for 2TS) regardless of what a patron orders. The common opinion on the DIS is that this has led to a "dumbing down" of menus, as venues remove higher-end or more unique menu options in order to remain...

    La Nouba Cirque du Soleil

I really enjoyed it and think it is better than the one I later saw in Vegas (Mystere).

Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern or Tony's Town Square

If you were asking about dinner, I'd say Tony's (not a fan of LTT's family-style dinner). But for lunch, LTT definitely wins out.

    Sanaa Reviews

I think if I'd ordered the salad you did, I would have the same opinion of Sanaa that you do. I'm not a fan of dark meat chicken or dressing-drenched salads, either...and combining the two would make it that much worse! Most of the "ravers" (myself included) got the "Slow Cooked in Gravy"...

    The Earl of Sandwich

That's what I always end up thinking, too. Same when people compare Le Cellier to Outback. Do I just have really terrible Quiznos and Outbacks near me? Love EoS! The chicken chipotle sandwich is my favorite, and was just made a part of the regular menu!

What do you like or not like about Las Vegas as a vacation?

Just like there are many people out there who don't understand those of us who make repeat trips to WDW, I personally don't find much appeal to Vegas. I will say the Paris hotel is very nice, and after discovering that Vegas wasn't the place for me, I spent two long relaxing afternoons...

Holiday Sandwich from Earl Of Sandwich Available Year Round

Sweet! I love the Chipotle Chicken Avocado sandwich! Our first-ever visit to EoS was this past trip, and that's the sandwich I got. I was sad when they said it was just that month's "special" and wouldn't be there on my next trip. Now it will! :thumbsup2

Any food in Canada besides Le Cellier?

The Trading Post store has maple candy and other Canada-specific snacks like the Cadbury Wunderbar.

How much $ was your vacation?

We usually spend around $3k, and we go every other year for a week. That is usually a value or offsite room, OOP food, park hopper 7-day tickets for two, and round-trip gas driving from central TX.

What do you spend for Valentine's Day ?

Our tradition is to cook a nice steak dinner together at home and watch The Princess Bride. Also usually done on the weekend before or after, because weeknights are too hectic and not relaxing. Going out for Valentine's day (even at the weekend) is overcrowded and noisy, and besides we...

    Le Cellier Steakhouse in Epcot

Good food is still only worth what it's worth. I may have an absolute favorite fast-food restaurant...but I would not pay sit-down prices for it. I may have a favorite casual sit-down, but would not pay Ruth's Chris or Melting Pot prices for it. That is what has happened to Le Cellier...
