We flew Northwest out of Detroit direct to Orlando. We are from london Ont.
You never see your bags till they are at your state room. Northwest even bumped people off our flight to get us on last minute. Disney air is highly recommended.
The view is excellent and there are no life boats etc; to block it. No noise problems inside the room itself. Deck #9 overhangs to provide a nice canopy over your verandah, to shelter from the wind and rain.
We have been on many cruises and wieght gain has been the subject around many a dinner table. The concenuss is 1lb wieght gain per day. On our last 7 day cruise we gained just over 7lbs.
But the wieght allways comes off when you get home because you have become too lazy to make dinner and go...
We where booked on the The 2002 eastern that was cancelled because of the norwalk virus. We where offered a spot on the next ship out 1 week later ( western cruise) and took it. The flights and transfers where through disney. We are a family of 5. The Docs where couriered within 2 days. When we...
We have been on the eastern and western magic , both times in late december. The weather was hot but not too humid. Florida in the morning was the only time we had cool weather. The ships gift shops have 50% off sales on all dated items such as photo albums during december. We find Dec the best...
During the castaway cocktail party the captain said , alaska and the mediteranian where under consideration for future cruises.
I personally think the carribean is getting a bit tired.
We where booked to go on the Dec 2002 Magic that was cancelled because of the Norwalk Virus. Disney gave us a full refund and 50% off our next cruise. We booked the the next ship out and while on that cruise , disney offered a 50% off your next cruise if you booked while on board; so we did. We...
I have been on two DCL cruises , both in december, not a bug in sight. I have also snorkled and scuba dived on all the islands. Never heard of sea lice. I would imagine Sea Lice are better than a case of frost bite.
The taxis and buses we took did not have seatbelts, most taxis don't even have doors and windows. If you want seat bealts you should rent your own vehicle, right on the pier , it cost $127. for the jeep.
We have been on the eastern and western 7 day cruise's . We have three children 2, 9, 11 . We never got around to palo, It just seemed like too much effort with baby sitting , booking ahead etc. Besides we took the magic kitchen tour and they said all the Entree's for palo's come out of the...
When we got to st.marten we rented a jeep for the whole day. It cost $127. us . We went to numerous beachs , drove the whole island , we did some shopping. You can rent jeeps from HERTZ right on the pier and we did not make any reservations.
We have been on two 7 day DCL cruises , we are a family of 5. We have still kept in touch with our tablemates. I have wondered how they pair up families. It is not by Catagory because sailed catagory 4 on both cruises and our mates where from lower catagories ( deck 2 and people from an...
We booked through Disney Direct, I called one week prior to our dec 13, 2003 departure to find out where our doc's where. They sent them by courier and we recieved them 4 days prior to sailing.
I have been on two 7 day cruises. Before you board the boat , the check in person takes your credit card info and gives you your " key to the world card". You put your expenses on the that card. At the end of cruise a " expense statement " is delivered to your room, if you agree with the...
We just got back from our second 7 day disney cruise and still do not have any" formal" club documentation. Before we went on our secound cruise ( we booked our secound cruise while on board during our first) , I phoned disney about the castaway club, they said we where registered as " repeat...
This room is under the mickey pool, ( tons of activity). We heard nothing overhead, however we could hear the ocassional thud while sitting on the veranda. The best thing about 8000 rooms is you get a extra large overhang to shelter your veranda from wind and rain ( deck 9 has a cantalever over...
We would recommend the western first because you stop in a port the first day ( key west) and do not hit the open sea till later in the cruise. This will give you a chance to get your sea legs. The eastern caribean is two days at sea right off the bat , you could get a bit queesy if the waves...
We just got back from the dec 13 2003 eastern cruise. In st. marten we rented a jeep , right on the pier , it cost $107 for the day. Our family of 5 visited 3 fabulous beachs , one had big waves, one had calm waters and one was just right ( mullet bay) . We had plenty of time to beach ( 10am...
