We went in May. Had purchased tickets in advance at Ft. Meade, MD. My husband had to show his retired military ID card at MK in order to activate the tickets for us and our grandchildren.

I booked 5 cabins in Nov. for the 2/5/09 sailing, cat 12 guarantee. Got an upgrade on all 5 to a cat. 9 :cool1: ! This happened to us in 2004 when we got 3 cabins for the "ladies cruise".

Just did a 4 day on RCI Empress and smoking is allowed in the staterooms. My brother and SIL were next door to us, and you could smell her smoke thru the walls, and also in the hallways. That said, we did enjoy the cruise, tho I still prefer Disney due to the larger staterooms, multiple pools...
