First, I've been a Disney fan for a very long time. Over 30 visits since the early 70's. but they're not what they used to be and don't seem to even want to keep up. Without getting into the specialty napkin argument, those things that made DW special are now gone, big deal or not. Those are...
Illuminations, with all it's new technology, is not as good as it used to be. Back when they had more classical music, a song for each country, projections on Canada and Germany, it definitely felt more international. Combine the old music and theme with the new technology for lights, fireworks...
They use very little of the video you are in. It is mostly graphics and the song you chose for the ride. There is no reason to buy more than one. I would have preferred the full video of the ride, like what they show in the preview, then I'd buy more than one.
Harry Potter is nothing like Soarin. You move in a much more intense, and much more fun, way than the snooze inducing Epcot attraction. The mummy is a bit like Everest with a little more scare thrown in.
They've got to take advantage of Star Wars. Many people go to Universal JUST because of Harry potter and I'm sorry, but Star Wars has a bigger fan base. Still hugely popular after all these years, even with a couple questionable movies. Pixar land (not Carsland) would also be great. And while...
I'd like to see them convert disney quest to a Star Wars themed arcade with a Cantina bar restaurant om ground floor where the gift shop is. Most of the attractions there could easily be rethemed.
My concern with canceling EMH is the wait for buses at the end of the night if everyone leaves at once. On the plus side, the EMH park of the day is usually more crowded and this might spread things out. I do hope they extend park closing somewhat as I prefer nighttime there
Some of you are missing the point. I'm not talking about benches on the parade route that guarantee you front row seating, but benches at the back so you have the option to sit if you like or need to. I do think there should be benches facing World Showcase Lagoon though as it is a nice view...
I don't know if this is the right place for this topic, but I couldn't find the subject anywhere else, and I think it's pretty important. Disney world parks need more places to sit. Mostly in the obvious parade route and firework watching areas, but also in those areas where you wait to see...
I liked Avatar. Loved Star Wars. Still would prefer Beastly Kingdom. But please, not another Soarin. Long waits, no story, and definitely NOT a thrill ride.
I liked Avatar. Does it have a huge fan base for something like this though? I doubt it. They need to go back to their original plan of a Beastly Kingdom. That leaves it so open to so many ideas (even an Avatar addition).
Yes. Replace Fantasmic and bring Illuminations back to the days when the show and music were tied to the World Showcase countries. The fireworks might not have been better, but the music definitely was. Please
I actually loved Avatar. Brilliant visuals, great 3-D, average story but great action scenes. However, I still would prefer Beastly Kingdom (so much to work from, including a kid based ride) especially if the Avatar ride is going to just be another Soarin'.
You're missing the point. I've been going there every year since 1980 and have seen many changes, some good, some not. If cutbacks on the little things that us regular visitors enjoy are because of hard times I can understand it, but just so stockholders can get a bigger cut... not acceptible...
So, are the shareholders getting this raise by only offering the same generic shirts, mugs, etc. at every Disney resort and park. I stayed at two resorts this year and the merchandise was practically the same. I used to get a coffee mug at each resort I stayed at (Disney lost about $30-40 on...
Please speak up, I know there are more like me out there. This is not an anti Avatar rant but rather a request to not do another Soarin. That ride is at best a travelogue film, poorly put together with rough transitions between scenes and no storyline (very un-Disneylike). And as far as the...
Change it to all Disney movies. First it's a lot easier to make animated characters look real. Second there's plenty of Disney classics (with classic songs) for some main scenes. Third, throw in some characters from lesser movies interacting with each other in between the main scenes. It'd be...
Does anyone know where they take you fishing from the various resorts? I think I know where from the hotels on Bay Lake, but what about the others. Has anyone out there taken an excursion to give me the info I need? Thanks in advance.
