Thanks for the advice. I do love the look of the Newport Bay, I'd just be afraid that the refurbishments would go on longer than planned, and we'd end up at a far end of the hotel, or there'd be scaffolding outside our room.

I'm still in the thinking stages for next years trip (I'm thinking around Easter time or maybe slightly earlier). Trying to decide at the moment between SL and NBC. We've stayed in a standard room in the SL before, but never Newport Bay. Which would you choose? I think if we go with SL we'd go...

Oh no! Maybe we'll just go in for a look so, if I can get away with that. I've already taken note of the cost of the sets here, and I wouldn't mind paying a little bit more (just a little bit though, lol) if they wanted to buy a set over there. Most certainly won't be buying €200 or 300 sets...

Just wondering what the prices are like, and what sets they have that might be suitable for a 5 year old boy and 8 year old girl? Both are lego mad, so it'd be nice to have an idea of how much I should expect to have to spend in there so I don't get a fright when we're there :rotfl:

Still trying to decide when we'll go next year, and are now deciding between two dates: March 16-21 or June 2-7. Are there more ride closures to be expected in March? Or earlier park closures or less parades? We'll have two kids aged 5 and 7, who would probably be more interested in rides...

We've seen her several times in DLP, and she's always been in blue (both at Auberge and the Pavillion). Would love to see her in pink though!

We got back last week, and took two - one for the 4 year old, and one for the 6 year old! Both have been done with strollers since they were 2, and we only own one, which is kept in the boot of the car at all times. We bought a cheap one before we went, because it worked out cheaper than renting...

We're just back and ate at McD's twice (kids are fussy and requested McD's unfortunately :rotfl:). We used the self service machines to order and food was ready within minutes. From the time we went in, we were sitting and eating within 5 mins! Approx €7 for adult meal and €4 for kids.
