AKL to ADRS..?? what happens if park closes?

If you are done eating after all of the parks close, then take the bus to Downtown Disney, then from Downtown Disney to your resort. The buses run to and from DTD until 2 a.m.

    The HUGE Planning Resources Thread!

I've become a big fan of Springpad (www.springpad.com) as place to create and store information, notes, pictures, and all of that kind of stuff when planning a trip. In addition to the website, it is available as a smartphone app, with at least most of the same tools as the full website. It is...

What Disney Tip Are you really glad you listened to?

Put something easily identifiable on your stroller. We have used things like a brightly colored ribbon, or just left the airline gate check tag on ours. It doesn't matter how few strollers like yours you see at home, there will be other identical ones at Disney World. Having something...

To Photopass or not to Photopass?

We typically don't use Photopass+. My wife is an avid and talented photographer. She averages taking about 200 pictures per day while we're on vacation. While we do carry around a Photopass card, and we do look at the pictures online, we typically have only 25-30 pictures on it, compared to...

Old Key West opinions, good or bad

The rooms and grounds are really nice. However, it is laid out on basically a hub and spoke system. This makes the buses very inefficient. They have to go out to the end of the spoke, then come back to the middle before going back out to the next one. The result is that you spend a lot of...

Ride it or don't ride it

Ride it. Why not? The line is often very short. Tomorrowland Speedway.

So is ANYONE getting into BoG?

I strongly recommend that you keep checking. We didn't decide to make our trip in early May until about 100 days in advance. As soon as we decided we were going to go, I started looking for BoG reservations, and there were 3 or 4 options available during the time that we are there.

Question - Meeting Characters in the Park

I actually much prefer the current system of meet-and-greets and specific places and times to the old "walking around" method. In my handful of visits to Disney World as a kid, we never once bumped into one of the characters. So I never got to take a picture with them or get an autograph. My...

Storing pins somewhere besides a lanyard?

My daughter is still little, so we are always thinking about the weight of the lanyard. I keep my daughter's "traders" in my pocket, and just pull them out when she wants to make a trade. She puts the ones she trades for on her lanyard. Each night we take off all but one or two, and we've...

How many days, until your WDW trip?

We're at 27 days. My daughters (4 and almost 2) are both really excited. Every day they both talk to us about what they want to do while we're there.

    Tantrums in the parks

We're fortunate that my kids (4 and almost 2) are much more likely to throw their tantrums in private than in public. We were at WDW last May with my brother, whose 2 kids (then 5 and 3) would meltdown in public, particularly when they got tired or hungry. In either case, leaving the park or...

All Star Music or Pop Century?

We enjoyed our stay at Pop Century. To me, the dedicated bus service is reason enough to choose Pop over any of the All Star resorts. Also, when we left at closing time, it always seemed like the lines for the buses back to the All Star resorts were longer than the one for Pop.
