Reunion Resort vs. Bonnet Creek vs. ??? for Thanksgiving

Thank you! If you didn't care about proximity, which would you pick?

Reunion Resort vs. Bonnet Creek vs. ??? for Thanksgiving

We're purposely looking for an off-site RESORT for Thanksgiving as our kids are getting a little Disney burned out after we went three times for short, extended weekend trips over the summer. I think we're also looking to do a resort day--weather permitting--and spend time at the pools at the...

HHI--things to bring, things to make, things to rent...

@jerseygal No--not at all! We ate at Hudson's (really good!) the first night and showed up after 8. No wait at all. The second night, we are at Scotty's, which is right across the resort in the marina, and had no wait (7:30 or so). We've eaten in since then.

HHI--things to bring, things to make, things to rent...

Today is our last day at HHI. We've had a great stay, and this will likely become part of our yearly summer vacation. We may start looking for a small contract--which we would combine with cash stays. We brought a travel gas grill (Brinkmann-$35 or so at Home Depot) which has been great! The...

Have you ever been turned away for having one extra person show up?

I have been checking reservations each morning, during my lunch break and at night before I go to bed for several weeks, and this morning, I finally scored a reservation for 5! It's at a better time, and on a much better day as it's the morning after we arrive - no better way to kick off our...

Have you ever been turned away for having one extra person show up?

Thanks for the replies. :flower3: Our reservation is for Chef Mickeys around 10 a.m. Do you think it's worth it for her come along? She doesn't know what she'd do if she has to wait at the Contemporary, other than walk around the resort.

Have you ever been turned away for having one extra person show up?

My mother in law is planning to join us for a few days on our trip in 3 weeks. I managed to alter most of our reservations for the meals/days she wanted to eat with us, but not surprisingly, I can't find any availability for our character breakfast to include her. (I keep checking, though, so...

Someone with boys has to agree with me!

I would LOVE to see Disney go in a more gender-neutral direction. That's the way we've tried to raise our kids, and the "Princess Pedestal" that Disney has always been on, while nostalgic, really turned us off from visiting the parks when my daughter was young. Her version of Disney has always...

    Comparing dining plan to OOP

We are doing our upcoming trip half on the dining plan and half off of it (split stay at two different resorts, but this could also be accomplished by making two reservations at the same hotel in the same room--hopefully, you wouldn't need to be moved). During our last trip, we got the dining...

Ideas for healthy interesting cs meals

If you go to DTD, I'd suggest Wolfgang Puck Express. Very nice selection of fresh, healthier foods.

    BOG kids menu

As a very health-conscious "crunchy" parent, count me as extremely glad to see some healthier choices come to Disney. However, as the parent of one ultra-picky-eating child, it would be very nice if parents who don't have picky children would give some grace and understanding to those of us who...

    Split stays - why?

We're doing 3 hotels during our upcoming 10-day vacation. Our first night, we'll stay at POR. The following morning, we'll check into BC for the bulk of our trip (5 nights), which has the dining plan attached to it. And then we'll finish out our trip at BW in a deluxe club level room with no...

Wanting to make sure this will work!!

Just out of curiosity, how do you get the pharmacy rewards? My husband fills an Rx there from time to time, but none of us get scripts filled regularly. Will they give you 5% for one script?

    Spending money ?

I usually do traveler's checks since they can be spent anywhere and cashed back in for money when we get home. They don't cost us anything when we get them through AAA. I think we will be spending about $850 at Disney during our upcoming trip (I worked out tips and off-plan dining and some...

First trip sans stroller: What to do about cooler/storage?

Yeah, for 5 of us, that's just 2 water bottles each. Really, in June weather, we easily consume 3 or 4 each during a day at the park (so like 20 a day). For our last trip, we brought three Costco cases of water and two cases of fruit juice, and after a week (+ buying a few drinks in the parks)...

First trip sans stroller: What to do about cooler/storage?

I guess I hadn't considered the older two kids helping distribute the load--all I had really been thinking about was me carrying 10+ water bottles and other misc. stuff and how uncomfortable that was going to be. Great idea that I hadn't considered--thanks! Do kids 9 years on up complain about...

First trip sans stroller: What to do about cooler/storage?

Oh he's going to complain. He's just so big to still be in the stroller as he's definitely the size of most 7 year olds. We did 3-6 miles hikes every weekend last spring to build up his endurance and to get him to the point where he wouldn't complain or asked to be carried, but since he was...
