We just tried to go direct to the gate but had to go to guest relations and they needed to verify my DVC member card showing we could buy the passes. Took about 10-15 minutes.

I just bought the DVC band at Riveria. I agree selections are limited all over the parks and hotels.

Not impossible. You can always keep checking. I booked 4 nights at spring break 2 weeks before going. It happens, just keep checking.

has anyone stayed in a refurbished 1bedroom? I was curious if they sleep 5. We love the space of a 1 bedroom but with a family of 5 we have to book studios.

We started with 400 and have added on 2 more times and currently have 3 contracts. We really opt for the 2 bedroom units and sometimes grab a grand villa with another family. it will all depend on how you like to travel. We really wouldn’t book studios unless we are just staying 1-2 nights...

I do think that these rental companies need to raise the price. I was going to rent my fall beach club points but i feel like those should go for at least $20/point for food and wine. I will just wait for the price to go up before i rent. I’m not in a hurry.

I think if you are doing the parks, Vero would be the most convenient. HHI is wonderful but I would go for a longer time to enjoy everything the island has to offer. If you are looking for a quick getaway, Vero is good for that. Not sure I could stay more than 2-3 days at Vero.

I don't think you can have any active reservations when you sell. Since oct-dec are the busiest months it makes sense that people take a trip then list their contract after the reservations have been completes

When we went 2 years ago they did the 4th of July fireworks on the 3rd as well. Magic kingdom was incredibly crowded ... We ended up at HS

I can't remember exactly but I think I was able to book grand floridan right away. I don't think they blocked it out at all. It was actually really easy to book.

I just called and was able to fax in gift cards. They are a little back logged but they are definitely still accepting them :)

We closed in august 14 on 160 point contract for $92 per point with all 2013 points and all but 15 from 2014 paid only 2014 maintenance fees and 200 toward closing costs
