Just back from Alaska cruise - some tips and things I learned

Thanks! That's pretty much what I expected. I might throw in their suits "just in case" but will tell them that it's probably too cold to swim. Getting excited for everything else though!

Just back from Alaska cruise - some tips and things I learned

Hi! Thanks so much for all the tips! We leave this coming Monday for our Alaska cruise - so excited. I was wondering how much you saw the pools being used? My kids are 8, 5 and 18 months. I know the 18 month old can't go in but did you see younger kids in the pools very much? Thanks!

***Cruise Magnet Graphics and Links Part 7!***

Yes, thank you - I searched for quite a while today! I figured the work had already been done and hated asking anyone to make something new when something probably had already been created. I had seen others had posted designs but was having trouble finding their libraries. I'm grateful to...

***Cruise Magnet Graphics and Links Part 7!***

Hi Everyone - I don't want to ask for any new designs to be created but was hoping to find a link to some magnets that have already been created? My kid's names are pretty basic (Alex, Jake and Drew) so I'm sure there is a lot of magnets that have already been made. I'm having trouble finding...

July 9 Wonder Cruise to Alaska

We actually live just outside Seattle, in Bellevue. There's SO much to do here. One great resource for touring Seattle with kids is a local travel blogger (http://www.deliciousbaby.com/). She has a great section all about Seattle, and many other cities too. Also, I rely on these family "to...

    Alaska Cruise - ?? re 18 MO/19 YEAR old

I think that would work for the 5 and 8 year old. I worry that the 18 month old would be too tired and being taken to the Flounder's area when he is super tired would create much chaos for everyone. I was hoping we could feed the toddler dinner at about 7:30, take him to Flounders for an hour...

July 9 Wonder Cruise to Alaska

I just called Disney myself and Pirate Night is scheduled for Friday night. They explained though that normally there are fireworks off the ship on Pirate night but there are no fireworks due to local regulations. So, as of now they are planning on a Pirate Night, "weather permitting." :confused3

Alaska cruisers who hurried to airport

Hi - what time is your flight? I'll be on the Alaska cruise next week! We actually live in Seattle. The port is north of the airport, about a 30 minute drive. I wouldn't expect traffic on Monday morning heading TO the airport from Seattle. It's the opposite way of the commute. PLUS, there...

    Alaska Excursions--post your reviews here!

Hi again - I searched the thread and haven't seen any reviews of "The Klondike Experience" in Skagway. Anyone done this one? Note, my husband and I are brining our 18 mo, 5 yr, 8 yr olds as well as my parents and 19 yr old sister. I've had to choose my excursions pretty carefully! I'd...

    Alaska Excursions--post your reviews here!

Hi! We are doing the Mendenhall Glacier Explorer next week and am wondering if you can explain more why we should visit there on our own? Is it mainly the time limit? DH and I are bringing an 18 mo old, 5 yr old, 8 yr old, 19 yr old and my parents. My Dad just had a knee replaced last month...

    Alaska Cruise - ?? re 18 MO/19 YEAR old

Hi Everyone! We leave on our Alaska cruise this coming Monday! As I'm doing some last minute planning I have a couple of questions. We have an 18 month old, 5 yr old, 8 yr old and 19 yr old traveling in our group. FOR THE 19 yr old - I know she can't be in the teen club...

July 9 Wonder Cruise to Alaska

Thanks so much for your explanation. I read up too and now I understand. If we weren't so close to the cruise date, I'd be a cheerleader and see if we could rally our fellow cruisers here. But, I don't have a Fish Extender and don't think I could pull one together in time. Ah well. I'm...

July 9 Wonder Cruise to Alaska

Hi - just saw your note above about no pirate night. It looks like there have been pirate nights on the Alaska cruise recently. Did Disney say why there's no pirate night? We've got two little boys and that would be a bummer to miss pirate night! Thanks! Kerin

What to pack for Alaska Cruise?

Hi - wanted to ask you, have you been to Seattle? We live just outside Seattle and are (sadly) not used to warm summers. I haven't been to Alaska before though. I'm wondering if you feel the weather is that different from the Seattle area? As I'm preparing for our cruise next week I'm...

July 9 Wonder Cruise to Alaska

Hi all - just joined the boards although I've been lurking for years! ;) My husband, me, our three boys, my parents and my sister are all going on the July 9 cruise! Wanted to say hello. Really embarrassed to ask, what are FEs? I'm already starting to look into my door magnets. A little...
