    Black Pearl

We were there in November of 2010 , it was actually a double dip to CC , Western Carribean on the Magic . The Dutchman was backed up to the shoreline , a barge on either side with a backhoe picking it apart and loading into dumpsters. We were kind do surprised they were doing it right there...

Has anyone done a Galley Tour Recently?

We just did one on the Fantasy, 12/6 east bound sailing. We really got lucky with having the head of WD's imagineering on board that gave us a pair of lectures ...now that was fascinating .

pre/post cruise trip to wdw- need advice!

We've done both pre and post .... and there isn't a better elixir for the post cruise blues than WDW.....IMHO.

    How's the coffee on board?

I used to think that my ' after dinner' coffee was somehow better than what was widely available elsewhere ....till we did the kitchen tour on the Fantasy a couple weeks ago and saw the same darn syrup machine sitting near the beverage station in the kitchen. Oh well.

Hotel in Titusville, where to eat dinner

We stayed across the street at the Fairfield (got the parking discount voucher ) and just walked across the parking lot to the Cracker Barrel. Simple . Easy drive in to the port the next morning.

Miss the ocean already? Here are a few videos to hold you over till your next cruise

http://www.windjammerresort.com/webcam.html Try this for real time beach scenery. I stayed several blocks south of here on a trip to SoFla to take in a Dolphin game last year. It was pretty cool ( to me anyway ) to see it in a person after a couple years of web viewing

    First Cruise

Odds are you will be smitten by the dcl disease so you may as well plan on booking your next trip while inboard and take advantage of the on board booking discount. It makes the post cruise blues so much easier to deal with...

    Parking at the Port

Thats kinda what the dcl fella that cued us up for luggage offloading/checkin when you first arrive in your car had eluded to us when he explained the parking scenarios. I suppose one advantage is you can 'get out of dodge' a few minutes quicker than those that are doing laps around the parking...

    Odd question about Castaway Cay

Unintended consequences of being just too convenient to the deviants in their effort to feed America's drug habits and ultimately intimidated the owners out of their dream property. There's some interesting history on Gordo Cay

    WDW before or after cruise?

Boy does this subject come up a lot on this board...anyway, there is no cure for the 'disembark syndrome' like a good old fashioned trip to WDW. It makes seeing the orange glow of the ports sodium vapor lighting when you arrive back and realize...it's over, ..:sad2: so much easier to swallow...

    Reading by the Pool Question

Ha...I saw this thread title and thought ' doesn't that sound nice...reading by the pool'. I've been on several 7 day DCL trips now, always brought a book and had best intentions and it just never happens. Maybe another cruise line would be more conducive to getting some read time, DCL just has...

Fly or drive to Port Carnaveral from NJ?

Me and the wife drove down last month , did it in two days from Md. We stayed at Fairfield Inn of Titusville and they gave us a discount (40% ?) voucher for parking using PC's parking facility...couldn't get more convenient. We did the auto train back home, as somebody else eluded to, the drive...

    wakulla suites yas or no

As a NASA brat in the mid seventies, my family lived in these apartments for 2 or 3 months at a time while dad supported launch activities at KSC for whichever satellite he was working on at the time...so they certainly have been there a while and were big enough for family of 7 to live in.
