    Recommendations for motion sickness

Motion sickness varies pretty widely from one person to the next. For some, spinning rides are the culprit, others can't take roller coasters or maybe just avoid 3D screen projections. If she's very motion sensitive, all of the above plus the bus ride might be...vomitacious. Remedies from...

details of parks to not miss...adult only trip, going slow and soaking it all in

We enjoyed shopping. World Showcase, Mombasa Marketplace and the crystal store on Main Street were very interesting. We also made time for live entertainment (love the Main Street Philharmonic). When we had a resort meal, we'd take an extra hour to just walk around and see the resort, or have...

    La Hacienda or San Angel

We prefer La Hacienda. San Angel Inn was pretty with good food, but the tables are way too close together and there are far too many camera flashes for my liking. La Hacienda also has good food, but a more relaxing atmosphere IMO.

Admit it, you've been that rude guest!

We arrived at Fantasmic! with our dinner passes and found seats on the aisle. It had rained, and those grooved benches were really wet. I had a paper towel in my purse, so I dried off the two spots on the aisle for us and dropped the towel by my feet. DH then appointed himself usher and was...

Packing tips to keep things organized?

To keep the room organized, I really prefer to unpack and find places to put things away. The ironing board, if set up on its lowest position, makes a nice sized shelf below hanging clothes. Shoes get lined up below it. That "shelf" frees up a drawer or two. Luggage goes above the clothes...

    Large family trips

You have kind intentions, and it's wonderful that you are willing to do the work of booking things for them. BIL may be less convenient than you anticipated, but maybe it's ok that they are a bit apart. Perhaps he really wants vacation time with just his little family. They will have it, as...

Best restaurants for atmosphere (not food)

Yes, agreed -- if they are places you want to experience, then don't let being solo stop you. :flower1:

Best restaurants for atmosphere (not food)

Traveling solo, I would not do Biergarten or Teppan Edo. Often families or friends go there to eat, not to socialize with a complete stranger. If you get seated with that group, it's way awkward.

Where did you enjoy a great meal at WDW?

Bluezoo, Hollywood Brown Derby were our best meals. Also ate well at Boma and Via Napoli.

To those of you who didn't think MVMCP was worth it...

We felt it was way too crowded, way too expensive for a great parade. No place to see stage show once it started as standing areas were packed and CMs had to keep walkways moving. Lines for rides were good, but we can go on rides without a hard ticket.

    Allegiant Air anyone?

We love flying allegiant! It's more legroom than United and Delta, and cheaper for us. United and Delta are normally $430 and up from the same originating airport, where Allegiant is often $80-$150 cheaper per person after all the fees. Plus it's a direct flight to Sanford, so no changing...

Are all Disney resort perks fair?

Are perks for onsite guests fair? Sure. It's just one company's way of serving its customers. If you want more benefits, be more of a customer. I spent $250+ more per day with Disney staying onsite than we would have staying offsite.

    Dinner at Kona??

We've tried twice, and realized we'd rather be elsewhere. First time the place was really loud and the table was uncomfortably close to its neighbors. The food was well prepared, just not my favorite. Second time was still loud and very busy. Waitress warned my husband that the entree he...

How hard is it to get a campsite?

We'd like to go to FW in Dec 2016, which isn't available for booking yet. Thought I'd poke around on the website, Dec. 2015, to check prices, but it keeps showing no availability. I've tried two nights, two weeks, one week, but there's nothing open and that's 7 months in advance. So, what's...

The show is very well done, and you can bring in snacks and drinks. Try it.

WDW with my 92 year old MIL...any advice?

80 year old Mom was glad to have a scooter, though she walked most queues. She enjoyed live entertainment, shows and rides without seat belts. We spent very little time just sitting and people watching. Afternoon breaks at the hotel were a necessity, just to get a break from the crowds...

Please help me give my Grandma a special Disney Experience!! - Doubts and Strategies

I recently went with an 80 year old who cannot walk and stand like a young person. I tried to make plans with less time in transport, and more time experiencing things. If it was me, and my grandmother's only trip, I would just go to Magic Kingdom. Grandmother would have 6-7 hours inside the...

What makes a trip a bad one?

Our good friends went over a three-day holiday weekend with kids aged 6 and 1. He's a tightwad, and was very proud of how they were going to WDW without breaking the bank. They rented an offsite condo and a car and bought groceries. Well, the weather was really hot and lines were long --...
