    AK Planning Dilemma

If you go straight to Dinosaur when the park opens you should be able to ride it twice in a row with little to no wait. Both you and your husband should be able to ride it once each and you'll have spent less than a half hour at that attraction.

    Move It, Shake It, Celebrate

Just saw this parade in August - still as fun and energetic as it always has been! Enjoy it during your November trip.

    Triceretop spin, three people?

You might check to see if it has a height requirement. But it should be fine. Basically it is just like the Dumbo ride, only with dinosaurs. You and the 2 year old in front and the 8 year old in back.

    Book mid-august trip now?

Hi, just for a point of reference - In 2011 our last day in the parks was August 15th and I believe the free dining promotion began on the 14th.

Walking in disney compared to vegas

I would say maybe about the same, but with less breaks. For example you might walk a long ways in Vegas and then stop at casino for 20-30 minutes. In Disney you walk a lot but then stop and ride an attraction (5-6 minutes) and then you are off walking to the next attraction. Plus, unlike...

What's Up with Disney these days???

What are BTGs? BTG stands for Brazilian Tour Groups. They tend to visit the parks during January and July - when they have extended breaks from school. We have been twice in very early August and have never ran into a BTG.

    August 2013 Calendar & ADRs

It is frustrating that they aren't listing MK hours for August yet. Our 180 day window opens soon, so we've been anxiously checking the hours. Sigh.

    August 2013 Calendar & ADRs

If you go to Disney's home page and click on "today's park hours" you will be taken to a full screen that lists the current day's park hours. At the top of this page will be the current date. Next to the date is a small calendar icon. Click on the calendar icon and a drop down calendar...

    Falmouth Jamaica port adventures?

Hi all. I am booked on an October cruise out of Galveston that goes to Falmouth, Jamaica. I've looked on the Disney website about port adventures in Falmouth but it doesn't currently have Falmouth listed as a port. I know this cruise is MANY months away, but does anyone have any idea when...

When is spring break for you?

Most major districts in Oklahoma will be out for Spring Break on March 18th. A lot of Texas public schools have Spring Break the week before. We always go to Disney in the summer during a solid week of "8's" on the crowd level calendars and we always have a great time! Plus Spring Break would...

    Disney's Website - Park Calendar

I had trouble with this too and just figured it out the other day. You have to click on "today's park hours" to bring up the full page that displays today's park hours. At the top of this page next to the date there is a small calendar icon. Click on that icon and then it will drop down a...

If you were to get stuck on a continuous loop of 1 ride, which would it be?

I would love to get stuck on Peter Pan's Flight. I adore that ride. Plus I could check out the small details I feel that I have missed. Second choice would be Soarin' in the front row!

Biergarten - lunch vs. dinner question

We're starting to plan our meals for our next WDW trip and I was curious if the lunch buffet at Biergarten is a scaled down version of the dinner buffet. Or are the exact same amount of items offered at both lunch and dinner? TIA!

    Doc McStuffins.. character? Merchandise?

Or you could book a Pirates and Pals cruise--I think at least one appears there. We met both Hook and Capt. Smee on the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise at Disneyworld. I don't know if that's an option for your family, but it is a guaranteed way to meet the two characters and get...

New Fantasyland Dress Rehearsal - Thoughts

    Pixie Dust Upgrades Do Exist

Congrats on the upgrade - that's so cool! Thanks for posting the price of your upgrade. It's nice to have actual figures when considering trying for an upgrade at port. Looking forward to the trip report. Hope you had a great trip!

Add a day without park tickets?

Both times we have been we have built in a dedicated non park day. We sleep in (we're rope drop people), swim at the pools, walk around our resort, take the bus to Downtown Disney. For us, it is very relaxing. The Disney resorts are designed, in my opinion, to be destinations all on their...

    Concierge Tipping

I'm confused. I thought that, if you wanted, tip amounts were automatically charged to your account - eliminating the stress over how much to tip everybody. And then, if you wanted, you could tip CMs extra money if you chose to. Is the process different in concierge?
