    Recycling metals for cash?

I just recently had a project at work where I had to recycle a large amount of metal at different locations around the country and learned a few things in the project. First, prices vary by region of the country, AND also by fluctuations in the metals market. Copper and Aluminum are the most...

    failsafe popcorn recipes?

Here is my recipe: 2-3 table spoons of peanut oil (vegetable oil can be substituted as can bacon grease) 1/3rd cup unpopped pop corn. In a pot with a cover that can be slightly vented, throw about 4 kernels of corn into the pot. Put oil into the pot and heat on your stove at about the...

Need food ideas for a Safari theme party

You could serve more traditional dishes, but give them Safari-related names. Perhaps with a little name tag? IE, make some ribs and call them Giraffe ribs. Use a mango based BBQ sauce. Or go with stuffed tomatoes, and call them ostrich eggs. There is this great website I found that has...

    What do you collect?

I collect old 35mm Slides, Polaroids, and in fact any pictures take of family vacations to Disney parks. I prefer the 35mm slides as they're easiest to store and I have a very high quality scanner, coupled with the usually superior processes used to create the slides, makes some awesome...

How to organize my digital photos?

I deal with this via work all the time, where we have 1million+ photos from various shoots. One of these pieces of software is the way to go, along with Tagging of the photos with keywords. But, I still sort out photos with the following structure, just in case my photo database goes bad...

    Best Waterproof Digital Camera.

The new Olympus models are very impressive. I've been trying to convince myself I need one for quite some time. I do have the E-3 though, which is already water resistant (for rain and such,) and can't quite justify having a camera that is totally water proof. Yet. Perhaps for my next Hawaii...

Best hotel for Adults at Disneyland

What are people's opinions on the best hotel for Adults at or near Disneyland? Last year we stayed at the Hotel Menage which was a fairly nice hotel, but not ideal. We'd like to stay at the park, and are leaning towards the Grand California, but would like a place with a reasonable chance...

What are you surprised to learn when you travel outside your state?

I'm always amazed at how it'll be raining and 70+ outside, yet everyone is running for cover of some sort. I'm thinking specifically Aloha Bowl weekend in Honolulu, and while at Epcot in late February. (From Oregon - the wet side,)

Apartment Complex: Dogs off leash Vent

Do you know what your city laws are? You can usually call up your local Animal Control officer and say "Hey, this dog goes for a walk everyday by this address and seems to be pretty aggressive towards other dogs." Nothing like a ticket to get people to follow the laws.

I used to work for a stop-motion movie company. The primary camera system was a Red, with Nikon and Canon for the secondary stages. While all were decent, I loved coming home to my Olympus. On the other hand, I had access to some really nice and fast lenses there! Grave yard in Golden, Oregon

OOps, sorry for stretching the forums. I'm used to other sites that downsize the pictures automatically. I'll try to fix.

I'm glad to see an Olympus thread! I'm on my fourth Olympus DSLR (one stolen, one damaged, one because I wanted to upgrade,) and feel like sort of an outcast sometimes. This was driving down from Oregon on my last Disney trip, taken at Humboldt Lagoon State Park. And then North of...

    Tripod suggestions please...

I just get the cheapest tripod available. That way I don't care if it gets lost or damaged. At worse I'm out $20. But then I'll grant that I'm pretty rough on my equipment in general and it's useable life is pretty limited.

    "Saturday Night Sweeper"

Does anyone know anything about this video titled "Saturday Night Sweeper?" I dimly remember seeing this way back in the day, but can not seem to find a copy of it any more. My memory was jogged while reading "Mouse Tales" by David Koenig. Apparently some of the Disney Janitors use to...

Ideas please! Must sees from San Fran to Disney?

We did this last September, but the opposite direction. Make sure you have plenty of tapes/CDs, snacks and drinks to keep you occupied. The roads are windy, frequently slow with RVs or people too busy looking at the scenery. There is little or no radio signal for large portions of the drive...
