We moved up our cruise to this one (from October 21) and we've kicked into high gear for cruise prep! Can someone link in the FE Facebook page or type out the name so I can find it? I'm still on the fence about it and want to check out the group.
I'm on the fence about FE. I was super excited to do it but after hearing so many negative experiences I'm having second thoughts. I am planning to decorate our door tho! Anyone planning to decorate too?
My husband and I did a Royal Caribbean cruise 2 summers ago and it was so nice to have a kid-free vacation! Have you and your wife decided on excursions yet? Have you done Eastern Caribbean the last times you cruised the Fantasy?
Ha! I guarantee this was one keeping a spreadsheet. People like this take the fun out of extra magic activities like this. I very much wanted to do FE on our cruise but now I'm not sure.
Looking into it a bit it looks like DCL doesn't have the same kind of packages that the other cruise lines do BUT in addition to the beer glass they have a wine package. I'm looking here: http://disneycruiselineblog.com/2012/08/a-guide-to-drinking-on-a-disney-cruise/
I'm honest not sure how this works on DCL but all the other cruises I've been on (3 different lines) have had a package you can purchase where you pay a lump sum up front that pays for your drinks in advance. It's usually pretty steep but once you factor in the cost per drink it usually pays for...
I'm really hoping someone starts a FE group for my cruise. I want to participate but Ive never cruise with DCL or done FE before so I don't want to run it. I'm not going to kill myself over it tho, small gifts and there's no way in hell I'm paying for an extra luggage just to pack FE gifts. I'm...
This is what I'm planning to do. I have 472 days left (ahem) and I'm planning on filling many of them with creative projects. I'm planning to decorate our state room door so I'm going to make the magnets plus I'm just waiting for someone I start up a FE group for my cruise (Fantasy 7 day Oct...
I agree with everyone about the 7 day cruise being the perfect first cruise length. Your first and last days are spent getting settled and then getting off the boat leaving you with 5 days to do excursions and explore the boat.
Other tips are:
1. The food is usually awesome so bring clothes...
I'll start the Convo.
This will be my DH and my 4th cruise but the first with DCL and the first with our children (DD 11 and DS 7 at the time of departure). We are beyond excited! We have a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with a Verandah (aft) that my husband talked me into but I'm concerned about...
Right now the plan is to go as characters from The Haunted Mansion which is a family favorite. My Go-overboardness capabilities are limited by space in our luggage anyway but it's important that people "get it". I'm excited to be somewhere where people wont need a lot, if any explanation!
We booked our first ever Disney Cruise and I'm beyond excited!!!!
While my husband and I have been on 3 cruises on 3 different cruise lines before we've never brought our children (who will be 11 and 7 when we cruise). This will be their first ever cruise! We booked on the Disney Fantasy Oct...
