Welcome!! This has been a great thread! We love DLR, I was born in Newport Beach, but moved to Oregon. We have done WDW once but DLR several times as a family. I grew up going every other year or so. It's in my blood! :) You will have a blast!!!!

I think I am going to mark this a place to try. My oldest is a burger fan and I think this would be a fun place. No sense in getting a crap burger in the park when there is a good one outside the door. :)

We are getting so excited! I have booked most of the meals we want to do in the park. I am not sure if I want to spend over $70 pp to do the WoC dessert party.

I love Newport Beach and Balboa Island. Cute little area. Huntington is great too, classic surfer type beach.

Napa Rose would be great for doing a "celebration" of your marriage! It's very nice and fancy. Blue Bayou is overrated, go to Cafe Orleans in DL. We did the Wine Country Trattoria in DCA when we were on our honeymoon (2004) and it was nice. Earl of Sandwich is great for a reasonable cost lunch...

We did Napa Rose last time I was there (2018) and it was nice. This trip (with the kids in tow) we are going to do the Jazz Kitchen and Naples (both we haven't been to before). Earl of Sandwich is amazing. That is a go to for lunches!

The last time I was at DLR, they were still working on Pixar Pier. I've never seen WoC, and it's on my list for this coming trip. So my questions are: Do they typically do the dinner/lunch show packages? If so, is it worth it? What time is the show typically? I see 10 PM on the calendar, but...

We got our 8 day car rental for $350 through Costco in December. It's for a full size car. We are renting through Alamo but we are round tripping. Worth looking into. Good luck!

I always wear one... I have several from my past trips and I'll probably just use one of those again. I suppose you really don't need it now with the app, but I still enjoy using one. :)

Not sure how I feel about this... I haven't seen Hyperspace Mountain before, but I also just love the original. So as long as we can ride, I'll be happy!!!

I was looking for info on the stuff that happens around early December and I can't get any info. I really want to do the candlelight processional again (did it at WDW) and would love to know if they do it at DLR still.

I haven't flown SW in years...what is the deal with seat assignments? We have 11 and 14 yr olds with us... I worry we don't have assigned seats and will get separated at our plane change in Oakland... Any advice? We just booked the $59/each way tix 3 days ago. Such a deal!!! TIA!

Thanks to Southwest's sweet $59 each way deal we are heading to S. California 12/3-12/11! Just booked Grand Californian for 12/3-12/7!!!! Last time the family was at Disney was WDW-12/12, where my boys were 4 & 7, now 11 and 14! Woo!

We are here now and we were supposed to go tonight (Tues) as well. I had to see if we could change because I was getting ill and one other kid was getting sick. So they were willing to change it for me. I would have prefered to go Thursday, but we had to go with Friday. I have O'hana ADRs on...

We're here too and I've had to change our plans for tomorrow. I think we are doing Epcot Future World first then moving onto DHS since we have ADRs for Sci Fi.
