We brought sand shoes. My husband and I used ours but my daughter did not. I would have them just in case you need them. The sand there is very nice, clean, and easy to walk on. However, you are still in the ocean and if your son has sensory issues you may be glad that you have them.

We got off the Dream last week and they did send us a letter asking us not to go out on the verandah during the fireworks show. They also requested that all personal belongings be brought inside the cabin.

This is just my understanding of passports and not necessarily correct - Passport not required to sail but Disney requires it for their cruises. However, it is best to have a passport because if an emergency comes up on the cruise you would need the passport to get back in to USA by Air/Land...
