I can recommend the Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach as well. Great location (short walk to the beach) and they use Travelynx for transport to/from the port. Very efficient.

Our group of 10 paid $4 per person (1-way) to the Royal Palms beach Club - which is also about 2-3 miles from the pier/port in Georgetown.

I cruised in late May and ended up changing the reservation date as well as the number and names of the people on the reservation. I was able to do that myself at the host desk (outside of Palo) on embarkation day with no problem.

MDR's or any dining room? For me - Palo wins hands down. But if having to rank the MDR's - my vote is for Animator's Palate (mostly for the overt Disney theme and the "in meal" entertainment).

Another vote for Meridian. I loved the nostalgic feel of the dark wood and leather - very classy yet comfortable and inviting. Stewart, Gabriel and Tony all provided excellent service and I always enjoyed good conversation with those gents.

Hefty makes a "2.5 Gallon Jumbo" zip-lock bag. I use that and bubble wrap. Haven't lost a bottle yet!

As far as I know - all Disney ships dock at Punta Langosta - which is the pier located closest to San Miguel (the main town). No need to catch a cab as all the shops are within walking distance from the pier!
