Fireworks on a Monday in June?

We're staying at DL Paris from Monday 3rd June to Tuesday 4th June. What's the likelihood that there will be fireworks on the Monday night?

Shared room at Newport Bay Club or two rooms at Vienna House Dream Castle?

Help me decide! My mother and I are going for one night in June. Separate rooms at the Vienna Dream House Castle is around the same price as the Newport Bay Club. Which would you choose and why? I'm struggling to come up with reasons why a Disney hotel is a better option other than "I want...

    Shuttle for Good Neighbour Hotels

Can anyone tell me what time the last shuttle is at night to the Good Neighbour hotels? Also, do they run as frequently as to the Disney hotels? I'm considering either Vienna House Dream Castle or Algonquin's for the beginning of June. Last time we went we stayed at the Cheyenne and walked...

Booking buffet restaurants, recommendations and a question

We're going to DLP in early October, staying at the Cheyenne with the free half-board dining plan. Given that it only includes buffet restaurants, is it necessary to pre-book a couple of months out, or could we wait to see where we feel like eating on the day? We'll use our meal vouchers for...

Can you use HB meal vouchers on any day?

We will be arriving on a Sunday afternoon in October and leaving on Tuesday morning, staying at Hotel Cheyenne. My understanding is that we will each get vouchers for 2 breakfasts and 2 other meals. Can those other meals be used at any time? Eg. Can we use them for dinner on Sunday, the night...

    Homesick for Disney

I'd love to go to Shanghai and Tokyo, but since I haven't actually been to either city I'd feel the need to sightsee while I was there. At least in Hong Kong I've been a couple of times so I could do a purely Disney trip. Hong Kong was actually my first Disney experience in 2011. We were...

    Homesick for Disney

I can tell that I'm coming up to a year since my last Disneyland visit because I've started watching people's YouTube videos of Main Street and trying to work out how cheaply I can do a long weekend in Hong Kong which I figure is probably the cheapest option (I'm down to $3000 for 4 nights for...

Where to stay (area) on Oahu?

We rented a house on the north shore just out of Hale'iwa. It was right on a private beach that was only accessible by the 5 or 6 houses on that street. We pretty much walked out our door onto the beach. We swam with turtles right there and had a seal come up on our beach to sunbathe. I...

Bad Employees (Spinoff Of Bad Bosses)

I own a tour company. I had one sub-contractor tour host who just made constant mistakes. She ordered lunch from one restaurant then took the guests to another - I had to pay for both lots of lunches because the first place had prepared them and it would have taken too long to go there once...

Where to buy 10 day passes?

We bought ours through Magical Mouse Holidays http://magicalmouseholidays.com.au/Reviews-News/10-day-disneyland-vacation-pass.html and they were great to deal with. They were also the cheapest we found! Currently $473 for adults, $452 for children.

    Disneyland in the rain...

If you need new ponchos while you're there, we picked up great ponchos from the shop at the Park Vue Inn. I think they were around $7 each and they were really durable. I dried them off with a towel at night and reused them the next day! Shoes didn't dry as easily!

What was the biggest Disney meltdown you've witnessed?

I saw one on Monday and immediately thought of this thread. To be fair, the park was packed with huge lines for everything, including the bathrooms. A mother was screaming at the top of her voice at her two little girls (around 5 or 6) - "I hate this place! It's a zoo! The people are...

    Pity party for 3

Thanks for the sympathy everyone! I'm so glad we did manage to see everything earlier in the trip but what are the chances of EVERYTHING being cancelled on the same night! We had such a great trip apart from that. We're home in Australia now and I can't wait to start planning another trip! It...

    Pity party for 3

It rained all afternoon today so we went back to our hotel, determined that rain, hail or shine we were going to make the most of our last night in the parks, knowing it will be a few years before we're back again. Headed back about 8:30 to find a spot for the fireworks. Found a perfect spot...

    PTN Dining Packages

We did it last night for the second show, which worked perfectly. Our booking was for 6:45pm and we chose to use their tables to eat. I don't know how we would have gone balancing those trays on our laps! The food was good and it was hot - they were quite small serves though. We got a bottle of...

    Best outlet shopping near Disneyland?

Thanks everyone. We went to the Citadel Outlets today and could barely carry all our shopping! We used Lyft both ways because we didn't want to go at the shuttle times. Worked very well.

    Best outlet shopping near Disneyland?

We're coming from Australia. Generally your prices - particularly on sports shoes are much cheaper than Australia! So no time to look for sales, coupons etc. We just want to shop and go. We arrive on Monday!

    Best outlet shopping near Disneyland?

We're happy to catch public transport or an Uber. We're looking mainly for sports shoes and some clothing. Where is the best/cheapest place to go?
