Parking garage open time and other questions

Does anyone know what time the Mickey & Friends/Pixar Pals garages open for parking? Also, any advice on which exit to take from the north (coming from San Diego) in order to be able to park there? I used to have a route I took, but it has been a few years and I can't remember anymore. We prefer...

Lockers or storage for 1 carry on bag

Thank you so much for all of the feedback. The lockers in the esplanade or checking his bag at one of the Disney hotels is a great idea. Thank you also for the bag suggestion, I will check that out. I really love how helpful everyone here is!

Lockers or storage for 1 carry on bag

They are actually driving in. They will be staying north of Santa Barbara, but want to tour Santa Barbara during the day. I really wish I could go with him, though I don't know if it is more to be "protective" or more that I just want to go to Disneyland :)

Lockers or storage for 1 carry on bag

Thank you. That is incredibly helpful advice and I like the tote bag idea as a backup. I seem to have a ridiculous amount of tote bags, so that should be easy to find. I will also look at calling the Desert Inn. I very much appreciate your response!

Lockers or storage for 1 carry on bag

My teenage (16) son will be traveling to Anaheim on his own to meet up with his girlfriend's family from Norway. On the day of arrival he will get to SNA at 8am, but his girlfriend & family won't be arriving until sometime in the evening, so he was planning on going to Disneyland for the day...

Best offsite for family of 5?

We stayed this last summer for a Friday & Saturday at The Palms, rate was $88, including tax. It had 2 double beds and a foldout couch, plus a kitchen area. They had a pretty good breakfast in the morning too. The staff was really great and helpful. They let us check in when we arrived at...

Harry Potter wouldn't let the rain slow him down...

We visited IOA on June 24th, a very rainy Sunday. The rain got harder and harder as the day progressed and we all got used to our wet shoes and wearing our ponchos. The rain didn't slow us down much and it wasn't very crowded, so you can't beat that. The Forbidden Journey was amazing. The...

Gluten Free - Downtown Disney and OKW, more

I agree. My husband and son both have celiac and we have yet to have any issues at DisneyWorld or Disneyland. We were at DisneyWorld at the end of June. When we were at Downtown Disney, we ate at Fresh-A-Peel. Lots of gluten free options, plus Babycakes, a gluten free bakery, is located in...

Shuttle to Disney Parks from Silver Lake Resort?

We stayed June 23-30 at Silver Lake. They do have a paid shuttle, somewhere between $10-15 each way. We drove our car to the park on all of the days, but my husband did ride the shuttle over one day and arrived at Magic Kingdom a little before 11am. It does cost to park at the parks, $14 a...

    Beaches around Disney

I would encourage you to look into Anna Maria Island. It is a few islands north of Siesta Key and much less crowded. Also, the buildings on Anna Maria are not as tall as those on Siesta Key & Long Boat Key, so you can view the water quite often as you drive along. We spent a week in the...

    Allergies & the waterparks

We just went to Blizzard Beach and we brought in a rolling cooler with food, no troubles at all. My husband & son have gluten allergies. We chose to eat our own food and purchase some drinks there. We did eat at all of the other parks though.

    Blizzard Beach Tips?

Can you wear water socks or sports sandals on the rides? I heard the sidewalk gets really hot and we don't want to burn our feet :( Any tips on shady spots to sit? Do they only rent lockers at the front area or do the have separate rental desks for the other 2 locker areas? Thanks!

Celiacs at Disneyland and Universal Hollywood

We've been to Disneyland several times since my husband and son were both diagnosed with gluten allergies. In the past, I have contacted the special diets email for Disneyland prior to arrival and have received an email list of the items that were gluten free. The are quite a few options at...

    Harry Potter- Wizarding World FAQ

If it is a busy day, aka the park opens at 8am, will they still let people go through Seuss land or will the make everyone funnel to the left? We are visiting on a Sunday in June and we know it will be packed, but we plan on arriving very early. Thanks for any help you can give!

    Silver Lake Resort questions...

We are staying there in late June. I contacted them and they were able to assign our 2 two bedrooms next to each other in a newly remodeled building. They were very nice.
